Returning after a long day in the mountains, I begged my friend who was driving to stop for one last shot of the day. He carried on at about 70mph, so I opened my side window, aimed the camera back roughly where the Sun was. There was no time for settings, focus, composition or other such niceties.

This is the uncropped photo after minimal processing as shot with the z7.

Riding shotgun on a country road, this was the most interesting from a few shots. 5 second exposure. helped to pass the time.

Used 30 RAW shots from my time lapse captured. Stacked images in Photoshop CS6 using lighten mode and flattened image. Increased the overall saturation with Hue/Saturation in Photoshop. Curve adjustment to increase the overall contrast. 1 layer mask in soft light mode at 50% gray, using brush tool to lighten and darken some areas of the image, to bring out details. Topaz DeNoise to reduce noise. Topaz Clarity filter to increase contrast and color.

Rush Hour Light Trails on Interstate 84 in Portland Oregon from NE 12th overpass. Stopped by last night to do some night shooting in the city of Portland after a day of photography Cherry Blossoms. Hope everyone is having a great week so far.

Maybe I should have added a little more grain....

I admit this one is a bit odd, but we have to push the boundaries now and then. It is what the title says a black and white sunset taken from the passenger seat of a car somewhere in Thursford, Norfolk, England. I find it interesting how some of the elements such as the main tree are really still and solid whilst the tree to the left clearly shows movement.

This is/was a rough part of town, especially at night. And then there was the rain. Shot on film. Nikon F90, Nikkor 28-70. Almost certainly Fuji Provia 400X. These buildings are no longer standing. No adjustments after the 'scan'. This is the image direct from the slide.

Part of a project digitizing some of my old photos. I found a cache of mid 1990s pictures that I had curated and decided to build a rig to properly capture them on digital. I'm 'scanning' the analog shots using a juryrigged light table, and a Nikon D850 camera with a 105mm Nikkor macro lens.

I love the colours from the film.

These 3 shots were taken in the Huguenot Tunnel, hand held, from a moving car. Just me fooling around a little!!!

The Huguenot Tunnel is a toll tunnel near Cape Town, South Africa. It extends the N1 through the Du Toitskloof mountains that separate Paarl from Worcester, providing a route that is safer, faster (between 15 and 26 minutes) and shorter (by 11 km) than the old Du Toitskloof pass travelling over the mountain, but not nearly as beautiful!!!

The tunnel is 3.9 kilometres long and takes the shape of an elongated 'S'. When entering the tunnel the other end cannot be seen.

Geological surveys and design started in 1973, and excavation followed in 1984, tunnelling from both ends using drilling and blasting. The two drilling heads met with an error of only 3 mm over its entire 3.9 km length. Remarkable when you consider that it is not straight!! The tunnel was finally opened on 18 March 1988.

Happy as a clam, napping on her bed, in the back of the car, on a road trip. Steve didn't hold out much hope that anything I shot in a moving vehicle would be in focus, but I had film to use up and was still playing that "test roll" card.

I love long exposures, everything to do with night time, the dark, sunrise and sunset.

I like to take pictures mainly at night, sometimes during the day and in dull and fading light and I will sometimes display the time and date the picture was taken too.

I tend to take pictures of Light trails, Motorway traffic, Street lights, Buildings, Landscapes, Bokeh, Night bokeh and Hexagonal Night Bokeh in England.

All of my pictures are 100% natural and untouched in every way without ever been Photoshopped or altered or messed about with in anyway whatsoever, No multi layered photography, No HDR's and No image manipulation of any kind, all of my pictures look just the way they did when I saw them at the time of taking and I'm VERY PROUD of that.

I don't do any photo processing at all, I don't even own any photo software.

All pictures are JPEG, Never RAW.

All of my starbursts are all 100% natural without using any filters or anything else, as is all my bokeh, night bokeh and hexagonal night bokeh, its all natural, no funny gimmicks at all.

I don't do anything with my pictures apart from take them and then upload them , 99.99999% of my pictures don't even get cropped , they are all 100% natural and untouched and then uploaded.

More craziness in Nanjing... the lights in the tunnels can get a bit distracting

Daniel and I visited Max at his home a few weeks ago, we wandered through forests and drove by fields, and I realized that I really needed to work on my inner peace, especially when being out and about.
