A vagrant Inca tern poses on a sea cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean on the southeast coast of Oahu. This non-migratory tern with its unique facial plumage is believed to have arrived from its native Peru or Chile with a passing storm from the east Pacific.

The Hispaniolan Elegant Slider turtle is endemic to Haiti and Dominican Republic and is considered a vulnerable species.
While it doesn’t make scientific sense to photograph a turtle with a wide aperture…I like this shot and thought it’s worth sharing.
Vagrant Darter (Sympetrum vulgatum, Dutch: Steenrode heidelibel) aka Moustached Darter. The moustache is the black band going down along the compound eyes.
If it lacks this 'drooping moustache' it's very likely the 'Common' Darter (Sympetrum striolatum, Bruinrode heidelibel)
PS: males and females are indistinguishable when young, both are light yellow.
