Binnen 30 minuten was de dichte mist volledig opgelost ( zie vorige foto's). Gelukkig kwam er even na 9u nog een cargo uit de richting van Treuchtlingen welke ik fraai kon vastleggen, kort voordat de trein de Altmühl zou passeren. Eerlijk gezegd was ik wel een beetje verbaasd bij het zien van een Hectorrail Taurus, die had ik hier niet verwacht. Het betreft een schroot/keteltrein richting Ingolstadt, getrokken door de Taurus 242.531. In het blok voor deze trein zat een losse Taurus van Hupac om in Ingolstadt e.o. een keteltrein op te pikken. We zagen deze later in de ochtend retour gaan.

Edit: wegens lok en personeelstekort huurde DBC deze zomer Hectorrail in. Deze trein is dus een UC, waarschijnlijk Nürnberg Rbf-München

I don’t know what the turning circle of an old Fist 500 is but their size surely made them a good fit with the narrow lanes that are standard in the old Italian towns, cities and villages. This example was photographed in the mountain top village of Motta Camastra.

Motta Camastra is a small town that has apparently been used in the Godfather films. It is situated ten miles inland from the Sicilian east coast and although very attractive in many ways has a run down feel to it. There doesn't seem to be much evidence of investment and the population of the town is reducing quite quickly. As a result there are many empty and decaying properties. From afar as seen here it really does make a fine picture.
