"Happy Tree Co." attempts to bring annual Christmas tree waste down to 0% while creating a connection between the tree and consumers through continuity.
Rather than discarding different trees each year, consumers would sign up for the service online, choose from a selection of trees, and then the tree would be theirs every Christmas season for ten years.
Users first receive the tree when it is around 1 foot tall. Over the years they own the tree, they can watch it grow. Once it reaches 5 feet tall, the tree is planted in the wild.

This video was produced around a set of obstructions: A skipping record, finding the record at a thrift store, and only using still frames. The idea was to visualize and mimic the feeling of listening to a skipping record.

Ping is a garment that connects to your Facebook account wirelessly and from anywhere. It allows you to stay connected to your friends and groups of friends simply by performing natural gestures that are built into the mechanics of the garments we wear. Lift up a hood, tie a bow, zip, button, and simply move, bend and swing to ping your friends naturally and automatically. No phone, no laptop, no hardware. Simply go about your day, look good and stay connected.
Ping exists as a fully functional prototype and this project is a narrative video collaboration between Electric Foxy, and Dos Rios.
