Los islotes Mosteiros (en portugués : Ilhéus dos Mosteiros ; literalmente, islotes de los monasterios ) son unos islotes rocosos deshabitados ubicados a aproximadamente anáuticas 0,93 km del asentamiento de Mosteiros , frente a la costa noroeste extrema de la isla de São Miguel en el archipiélago portugués de las Azores .
Los islotes de Mosteiros son los restos expuestos de un cono volcánico submarino fuertemente erosionado por el mar a lo largo del tiempo. Los islotes están compuestos por toba de palagonita compactada .
La altitud máxima de los islotes es de 72 metros (236 pies) sobre el nivel del mar. Su calidad pintoresca los convierte en un destino turístico muy solicitado en la región de Ponta Delgada .

Tomb of Luís de Camões in Mosteiro dos Jerónimos (Monastery of St. Hieronymus) in Belem, Lisbon.
Camões is considered to be Portugal's greatest poet. He is to the Portuguese language what Shakespeare is to English and Pushkin to Russian. He led an interesting life spanning most of the Portuguese Age of Discovery in the XVI c., became famous in his lifetime, and died of plague in dire poverty. There is a strong indication that bones interred in his grave do not, in fact, belong to him. And the magnificent tomb was made only in late XIX c.

El impresionante Monasterio de los Jerónimos de Belém es, junto con la torre de Belém, uno de los atractivos turísticos más demandados de Lisboa. La imagen muestra la impresionante cola para entrar, a las 13 horas del día, una imagen que concuerda con el más de un millón de visitas al año que recibe este monasterio. No me he podido resistir a incluir en la foto el tranvía que recorre la zona, me encantan los tranvías históricos lisboetas.

Stellt euch vor, ihr seid mit einem schäbigen kleinen Mietwagen 100 km über nicht besonders gut ausgebaute Straßen gefahren, um eine Kirche zu besuchen, die ihr schon seit Langem gern selbst fotografieren möchtet, denn ihr habt Bilder bei Freunden davon gesehen, die euch so beeindruckt haben, dass der Wunsch geweckt wurde...
Stellt euch vor, ihr erfahrt an Ort und Stelle, dass die im Internet angegebenen Öffnungszeiten falsch sind und man gibt euch noch genau 25 min, euer Vorhaben in die Tat umzusetzen...
Stellt euch vor, wie enttäuscht ihr wärt, fändet ihr dann am Abend bei der Durchsicht der Aufnahmen nur eine, die halbwegs geeignet wäre, bearbeitet zu werden...
Einen ersten Versuch mit einem etwas anderen Bildschnitt hab ich vor ein paar Tagen hoch geladen, dabei selbst an der Architektur der Kirche "herumgebastelt" und doch nicht ganz das erreicht, was der Wirklichkeit nahe kam.
Heute hatte ich das große Glück, gemeinsam mit Werner an der hier gezeigten Version arbeiten zu dürfen. Sein Können hat unglaublich viel aus meiner Vorlage herausgeholt...
und ich hab so viel Wichtiges dabei gelernt - freue mich sehr über das Resultat.

The Jerónimos Monastery is one of the top tourist attractions in Lisbon. Everyone wants marvel at the impressive architecture, in particular the beautiful cloisters on two levels (ground and top floors) Almost everyone - some are not willing to queue for 2 hours for a ticket to get in. Same for me... so I went to the museum right next to it, purchased a ticket for the monastery and walked right in :-)

The Mosteiro de Belém is one of the most important buildings of the Manueline (Manuel I, 1495-1521), a Portuguese variant of the late Gothic, which also contains some elements of the Renaissance.
Among other things, it houses the sarcophagi of Fernando Pessoa, Vasco da Gama and Luís de Camões and various Portuguese kings.
