The Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Turkish: Sultanahmet Camii) is an historical mosque in Istanbul. The mosque is popularly known as the Blue Mosque for the blue tiles adorning the walls of its interior.
It was built from 1609 to 1616, during the rule of Ahmed I. Like many other mosques, it also comprises a tomb of the founder, a madrasah and a hospice. While still used as a mosque, the Sultan Ahmed Mosque has also become a popular tourist attraction.
The architect of this mosque is Sedefkar Mehmed Agha or Sedefqar Mehmeti of Elbasan (Modern Turkish: Sedefkâr Mehmet Ağa, about 1540 - 1617) , pupil of the famous architect Mimar Sinan.

Koutubia Mosque and minaret in Marrakech, Morocco. The minaret is 77 meters tall, and is a noted landmark in the city. Construction ended in 1158.
An Ultra-Wide-Angle Capture of the Nizamiya Turkish Mosque in Midrand, Greater Johannesburg, South Africa. This gives something of a sense of the sheer vastness and remarkable symmetry of the mosque interior. It can take up to 6000 worshoppers - as many folk as the quorum in the classical Athenian Ecclesia required. I have used a 'cold-tone' desaturation technique to emphasize the architectural geometry and extraordinary symmetry of the interior.
Great Mosque was constucted in 1399 by the Yıldırım Beyazid-fourth sultan of Ottomon Empire in Bursa province. The mosque has 20 domes and the large st interior space amongst the Turkish Mosques.

A perspective work from Haliç/ Golden Horn Metro Station Bridge. They look so diffrent despite they are both mosques, Hagia Sophia is like the oldest sister of the family who is adopted at first so she can't really fit in other siblings but all the other siblings adore her but she doesn't like them back. New Mosque is like the middle child to me. It is the first mosque when you enter the historic peninsula yet many people ignore it and move on to see "real" place. It is sad. It's like he is jelous of all the fame and attention Hagia Sophia gets. He prepares revenge plans yet no one cares.

The Jāmeh Mosque of Isfahān or Jāme' Mosque of Isfahān (Persian: مسجد جامع اصفهان – Masjid-e-Jāmeh Isfahān) is the grand, congregational mosque (Jāmeh) of Isfahān city, within Isfahān Province, Iran. The mosque is the result of continual construction, reconstruction, additions and renovations on the site from around 771 to the end of the 20th century. The Grand Bazaar of Isfahan can be found towards the southwest wing of the mosque. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2012.[1]

The Hassan II Mosque (Arabic: مسجد الحسن الثاني, French: Grande Mosquée Hassan II) is a mosque in Casablanca, Morocco. It is the second largest functioning mosque in Africa and is the 7th largest in the world. Its minaret is the world's second tallest minaret at 210 metres (689 ft). Completed in 1993, it was designed by Michel Pinseau under the guidance of King Hassan II and built by Moroccan artisans from all over the kingdom. The minaret is 60 stories high topped by a laser, the light from which is directed towards Mecca. The mosque stands on a promontory looking out to the Atlantic Ocean; worshippers can pray over the sea but there is no glass floor looking into the sea. The walls are of hand-crafted marble and the roof is retractable. A maximum of 105,000 worshippers can gather together for prayer: 25,000 inside the mosque hall and another 80,000 on the mosque's outside ground.—from Wikipedia
Currently the largest mosque in Turkey, the Grand Çamlıca Mosque is a complex for Islamic worship which was completed and opened on 7 March 2019.The mosque stands astride Çamlıca Hill in the Üsküdar district of Istanbul and is visible from much of the centre of the city. The complex incorporates an art gallery, library, and conference hall. It can hold up to 63,000 worshippers at a time (can accommodate up to 100,000 people in case of an earthquake) Source Wikipedia

The Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Turkish: Sultanahmet Camii) is the national mosque of Turkey, and is a historical mosque in Istanbul, the largest city in Turkey and the capital of the Ottoman Empire (from 1453 to 1923). The mosque is one of several mosques known as the Blue Mosque for the blue tiles adorning the walls of its interior.
It was built between 1609 and 1616, during the rule of Ahmed I. Like many other mosques, it also comprises a tomb of the founder, a madrasah and a hospice. The Sultan Ahmed Mosque has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Istanbul.
From the main gate, this mosque is to the left of the Taj Mahal. This is still a functioning mosque, so the Taj Mahal and its grounds are closed to visitors on Fridays for prayers. For symmetry, there is an identical building to the right of the mausoleum that once functioned as a library and study center. The Taj Mahal was built as a mausoleum by the 5th Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan, for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The Mughals were Islamic invaders from central Asia. At the height of their empire, they controlled almost all of the subcontinent.
The Pink Mosque (Nasir ol Molk Mosque), built from 1876 to 1888, by the order of Mirzā Hasan Ali (Nasir ol Molk), a Qajar ruler, is one of the most beautiful of all the mosques in Iran. It is notable for its exquisite tile work.

The rich history of Kos has vividly left its mark on the architecture of the islands. That is the case with the mosques of Kos Town, strong reminders of the Ottoman rule on the island, that lasted for about four centuries, from 1523 to 1912. Today, two Ottoman mosques survive time in Kos Town and they can be seen in the centre of the city.
The Loggia Mosque also known as the Hassan Pasha Mosque, located at Hippocrates Plane Tree Square in Kos, was founded by the Turkish admiral Ghazi Hassan Pasha in 1786.
Ancient architectural elements from Roman remains have been incorporated into the fabric of the mosque and its minaret, and the mosque was possibly built on the location of a Byzantine temple of St George.
The three storey building is locked and unused and still bears the marks of wartime bombardment, especially in the tracery of the upper windows. The ground floor is taken up by several shops.
The Putra Mosque, or Masjid Putra in Malay language, is the principal mosque of Putrajaya, Malaysia. Construction of the mosque began in 1997 and was completed two years later. It is located next to Perdana Putra which houses the Malaysian Prime Minister's office and man-made Putrajaya Lake. In front of the mosque is a large square with flagpoles flying Malaysian states' flags

Çamlıca Mosque (Turkish: Çamlıca Camii) is a mosque located in Istanbul and the largest mosque in Turkey. The mosque can hold 63,000 people and includes a museum, art gallery, library, conference hall, and underground parking lot for 3,500 vehicles.
Çamlıca Mosque was designed by two female architects, Bahar Mızrak and Hayriye Gül Totu, at a cost of around TL 150 million ($66.5 million). The length of the four mosque minarets span 107.1 metres, a measurement that refers to the Battle of Manzikert (1071) fought by the Seljuk and Byzantine Empires.
