There was something about the elegant white pillar of this period town house in Titchfield and the ordinary mop and bucket on the flag-stone step beside it which caught my eye..
Locker sitting in the middle of one of the floors of a former power plant. For some reason a old (antique) mop was in the locker although if stood upright it would not fit inside it. Plant closed sometime in the 1970's. Power plant sits next to a closed water plant that was built in the late 30's.

A westbound vehicle train has just departed the vast North Platte complex and is rolling through O'Fallons, NE on August 15, 1987. The power is three MoPac C36-7's and a UP U30C. I think I would have rather seen the 9017 and it's two sisters in Jenks blue, a color/scheme they never wore.

No idea what these are, it even confused my PlantSnap app (thanks to Andrew for the heads up on that little gem)!
Update: on further investigation I think it's French Sage also known as Jerusalem Sage. I found it on another plant identifying app called PlantNet!

I made this a bit ago, but it wasn't working out the way I wanted so I just put it in a drawer. My kiddo spied it recently and asked to wear it. It's perfect kid jewelry.
Adamson's process calotype, 4x5, Tachihara, Kodak Ektar 152mm
Cold weather means calotypes last longer between coating and developing. This is Adamson's process, which worked well until it got hot out, when I had to switch to a preserved (Pelegry) process. This was sensitized by floating on a thin skim of dilute aceto-nitrate of silver.
and then, and THEN, I asked Mark Mothersbaugh to stand completely still and I asked rest of the band to shrivel up and get into the mop bucket AND THEY DID!!

I found this plant at Kirstenbosch Gardens, Cape Town, South Africa.
It looks like a Cyperus (papyrus) species to me, but I'm not sure.
Anybody know?
If you should ever be in Cape Town, the gardens are well worth a visit. One of those paradise places for photographers. ;-)

Mopping up operation.
Quick action by Fire & Rescue NSW Station 248 Camden prevented a fire from reaching its full potential in Spring Farm on 12/11/2019 Tuesday afternoon.
Severe damage was caused to a wooden fence line that borders the Spring Farm park land and Camden Bypass.
A nearby house whilst was threatened by fire escaped damage due entirely to the swift actions of fire fighters.
In the mopping up stages of the operation a fire fighter sprays water on the fires remnants.
