El Monte Perdido (3348m) debe su nombre a una traducción literal del francés: Mont Perdu, porque los franceses conocían su existencia, pero a simple vista no se divisaba desde sus valles, estaba oculto por otras montañas, perdido... Está en una zona preciosa del Pirineo, el valle de Ordesa, rodeado de montañas de tres mil metros. Un placer contemplarlo desde abajo, por ejemplo desde la célebre cascada "Cola de Caballo" (donde está tomada la foto) y , por supuesto, ascender a su cima.
il profilo triangolare del rilievo aspro e stratificato si staglia in solitaria contro il cielo. Più in basso, una serie di colli arrotondati, in parte boscati, suggerisce che la parte superiore del monte emergeva dai ghiacciai würmiani.
La peculiarità di questo sito consiste nell’assetto geometrico del massiccio stratificato. Di particolare rilievo è l’inclinazione verso Sud della stratificazione che costituisce l’essenza stessa del monte Amariana. Si tratta per la gran parte di strati dolomitici di età norica, appartenenti alla Dolomia Principale. A questi si aggiungono esigui spessori di Calcare di Dachstein e di Calcari Grigi di età giurassica inferiore.

Monte Verde (Portuguese meaning "green mountain") is the tallest mountain in the island of São Vicente, Cape Verde.
The view at the top of Monte Verde is spectacular featuring views of the entire island including Baía das Gatas and the city of Mindelo as well as the islands Santa Luzia to the east and Santo Antão to the northwest.
Pilgrims that are about to finish the Route of Santiago can see the cathedral and the city of Santiago itself for the first time when they arrive to the Monte do Gozo (Hill of Joy), named so because of the joy the pilgrims experiment when seeing the end of the Route after many days of pilgrimage. This is the view at night, with a couple, next to the statues, watching the cathedral illuminated right below the moon.

Walking in the nature at the end of 2019 in Monte Ceceri. History says that Leonardo da Vinci, was inspired in this place to project his flight machine...by the way, Happy New Year to all! :)
"Complesso Monte Amiata" in mostra a Milano nell'ambito del Festival Fotografico Europeo.
Un progetto mio e di SIlvia Lagostina.
Saremo in compagnia di: Virgilio Carnisio, Mario Vidor, Claudio Argentiero, e Andrea Bertani.
Ex Fornace, Via Naviglio Pavese 16 Milano. Dal 20 marzo al 3 Aprile. Inaugurazione il 20 marzo alle ore 17.
Oggi ferragosto di fatica. Salita al Monte Generoso dalla Val D'intelvi con un dislivello di poco più di 500 mt. La fatica è stata compensata da panorami mozzafiato. Dalla cima del monte l'occhio può spaziare a 360 gradi, sia verso l'Italia che la Svizzera fra cui la montagna fa da spartiacque. Grazie all'amico Achille che mi ha consigliato questa salita.
