A monitor lizard with his tongue sticking out patrols Sipadan Island off the coast of Sabah - Borneo, Malaysia.
I'm a huge Lizard fan, I wish I could have a savannah Monitor or a Tegu, but I don't have the space at home to house one! Waaaa D:
I was sitting back in my home office working and I happen to have my camera monitors open when on one of the cameras (a different one than the one you see in this photo) I saw an auburn-colored smokey, fairly solid mass. It was so large I thought there was someone running around so quickly in my living room it was blurring on the camera. I didn't hear anything but I quickly went to the living room to see what the hell was going on.
I seen nothing.
So, I went back to my office and looked at the camera and there was nothing there. About 30 seconds later, on this camera, I see this orb coming up from the bottom of the screen and float around for about 30 to 45 seconds. I shot these three screenshots (upper two and bottom left) of the orb floating around in the upper-left corner.
Again, I jumped back up to see if there was a bug flying around or some kind of dust on the lens. Nothing. No bug, no dust.
I went back, again, to my office and the forth (bottom right) is all I seen......nothing.
Was a strange little thing that just happen. This reminds me of a time I was listening to music on the HiFi when I felt a chilling cold breeze on the back of my neck. It was so much of a breeze it moved my hair. There was no wind outside, and that window doesn't leak anyway. The AC wasn't on, and if it was there isn't a vent in the corner where I was standing.
Get this... I was working on an audio recording I made of one of my 78's. Apparently, if there's a ghost in this house, it loves music; specifically stuff from the mid 20th century.
This monitor is a flat panel LCD (liquid crystal display). It is one of the most common. They are measured by the diagonal screen size (inches), refresh rate of the screen (hertz), and picture density (pixels).
Some new designs include LED and OLED's. They stand for Light Emitting Diode and Organic Light Emitting Diode. They use less power than LCD and plasma type screens. Each LED emits light as electricity passes through a wire encapsulated in plastic. The design makes it less prone to burning out or breaking. OLED's use less power than standard LED's.
This ones taken from the Kitchen in our jungle camp! There were a few of these fellas around, apparently they don't bite humans! Just skulk around looking for food! Thankfully we didn't bump into any when walking around the flooded walkways!
