It was the perfect time to walk along the waterfront, there was a nice atmosphere, people chatted on the edge of the pier, someone prepared the take-off of a small paper balloon, many took photos of the boundary between sea and sky, with the light fading gently second by second. A ritual full of harmony and engaging aspects, was already a beautiful summer evening.
Il momento perfetto per passeggiare sul lungomare, c'era una bella atmosfera, la gente chiacchierava sul bordo del molo, qualcuno preparava il decollo di una piccola mongolfiera di carta, molti fotografano il confine tra mare e cielo, con la luce che sfumava dolcemente secondo dopo secondo. Un rituale ricco di armonia e aspetti coinvolgenti, era già una bella serata di inizio estate.

In coda aspettando la funicolare, ho visto una bella mongolfiera, a Mondovì.
Questa è la stazione a valle, nel rione Breo.

Come ormai tutti voi sapete, per lavoro o per divertimento, io viaggio molto. Pertanto conosco tutte le agenzie viaggi di Trieste. A settembre 2011 ne scoprii una nuova, entrai e vidi che organizzavano brevi viaggi in Mongolfiera nella vicina Slovenia. Interessato alla nuova esperienza, mi informai bene e subito prenotai il viaggio successivo. Così eccoci a Lubiana aspettando che si gonfi il pallone che dovrà condurci alla nuova avventura.
L’aria contenuta nella mongolfiera, essendo calda, è più leggera dell’aria che si trova all’esterno. Ed è per questo che la spinta in su è maggiore del peso della mongolfiera.
Abbiate pazienza che presto navigheremo non sulle onde del mare, ma fra le nuvole del cielo

As you all know, for work or for fun, I travel a lot, so I know all the travel agencies in Trieste. In September 2011 I discovered a new one, I went in and saw that they organized short trips in hot air balloon in nearby Slovenia. Interested for the new experience, I asked for informations and immediately booked the next trip. So here we are in Ljubljana waiting for the balloon to be inflated and leaving for the new adventure.
The air inside the balloon, being hot, is lighter than the air outside. And that is why the upward thrust is greater than the weight of the balloon

All'inizio del video riprendo la fiamma viva che porta aria calda dentro al pallone rendendolo più leggero dell'aria più fredda circostante e facendolo così innalzarsi (Principio di Archimede)
E' interessante sentire il forte rumore del fuoco che entra nel pallone e che, forse, rende comprensibile capire come, due mesi dopo, l'addetto avesse potuto dirigere male la fiamma bruciando la Mongolfiera e facendola rovinosamente cadere e portando alla morte le persone che vi stavano dentro

At the beginning of the video I film the live flame that brings hot air into the balloon making it lighter than the colder air around it and thus making it rise (Archimedes' Principle)
It is interesting to hear the loud noise of the fire entering the balloon and that, perhaps, makes it understandable how, two months later, the operator could have misdirected the flame burning the Hot Air Balloon and making it fall disastrously and leading to the death of the people inside it

Im trying a Photoshop plugin, "Topaz Adjust 4", It creatively adjusts photo exposure, detail, and color for photo correction and effects, giving HDR-style results from single jpeg file / Sto provando "Topaz Adust 4" un plugin per Photoshop che permette di ottenere velocemente risultati spettacolari, manipolando luci, dettagli e colori, ed immagini simil-HDR partendo da un singolo file jpeg
