Sadhu at Pushkar in Rajasthan, India
In Hinduism, the Sadhu (also known as yogi and sanyasi), is a common term for a mystic, an ascetic, practitioner of yoga (yogi) and/or wandering monks who has renounced caste, social position, money and authority, and occupies a special place in Hindu society.
The Sadhu often wears ochre-colored clothing, symbolizing renunciation and usually wears on his forehead the three lines of the god’s trident drawn in ash or sandalwood paste which may be vertical or horizontal.
The sadhu is solely dedicated to achieving the fourth and final Hindu goal of life, moksha (liberation), through meditation and contemplation of Brahman.
Shaivite Sadhus are followers of Shiva and are divided into various sects.
Vaishnavite Sadhus are devoted to Vishnu and are a later development than the Shaivite.
Unlike the common Hindu who is cremated, the Sadhu is buried, usually in the sitting position. The burial site normally becomes a place of worship.

It displays elephant as the human life in this world that gets renewed through the cycle of life and death and the mud below is the worldy bond in life, crocodile is sin and in its complete sense it seeks to attain liberation from this endless cycle through good deeds and devotion.

Many go to Varanasi in search for ‘Kashi’, the luminous abode of the gods, one of the holiest tirthas (literally a "crossing" or sacred place where mortals can cross over to the divine, or the gods and goddesses come to bathe on earth), where many return to die in the hope that they may achieve moksha, the salvation of the soul from the cycle of birth, where it is said that Shiva himself whispers the mantras of salvation into the ears of a dying person. It is a place that is believed to have been in existence since the time of the Mahabharata, a city where Gautama Buddha gave his first sermon at Sarnath or where Adi Shankaracharya taught Hieun Tsang,the Chinese traveller. It has an ancient history that Mark Twain once famously described as "older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend, and looks twice as old as all of them put together."

This was my final submission on the theme - "Escape"
"Moksha" or "Soul Escaping the Body"........
"Moksha" means Freedom or Salvation, refers to liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth, in Indian Religion. It is an escape from all the sufferings and limitations entailed in embodied worldly existence goal - thus an escape for eternity.
Shot primarily for the final assignment.
Its a single shot and their is only one guy in it....
all made possible by 10 second exposure time....
For first 6 seconds he kept lying on the ground and than became the soul escaping hevanwards.....
The exposure time was 10 seconds with aperture set at 18
