I must thank Simon for suggesting a trip out yesterday evening,as the sky at the end of the day was quite wonderful. It would have been a shame to miss the splendour especially as i've struggled recently to get any shots i've been happy with.
After lastnights colour show and having come home with a few decent shots,i think at long last i've found that bloody mojo :)

A view of the Seattle skyline. SoDo stands for South of Downtown, and it represents the mostly industrial space just south of Pioneer Square. It also contains Safeco Field and CenturyLink Field; many learned the term SoDo as part of the 2001 Mariners’ slogan “SoDo Mojo.” You can see the retractable roof of Safeco Field on the right hand side of the background.

Mojos Records is a tiny, independent vinyl haven tucked beneath Merchant’s Arch on Wellington Quay in Dublin’s Temple Bar (4 Merchant’s Arch, Dublin 2), offering a hand-picked mix of new and secondhand records across every genre—from classic Irish folk and rock (including a standout U2 section) to jazz, electronic and beyond—alongside CDs and rare collectibles; the shop is operated by Joe Murray (in the photo).
The clouds were not cooperating when Norfolk Southern heritage units met at NS Rossville Yard in West Tennessee. Central of Georgia NS 8101 leads NS 23N into the yard. Illinois Terminal NS 1072 and Monongahela NS 8025 are on point for NS 202 that will depart later in the evening.
Sammy and Samantha got together this evening for a swim and were later joined by an enthusiastic leaper named Mojo. He had just finished running seven miles along the mountain bike trails but he apparently had some energy yet to spend. I got off only five or six shots before it got too dark and felt lucky to get a decent one. I talked to his owner a bit and told her I would love to take some more shots of him sometime. She said sure so I hope to get another chance when there is just a tad bit more of an evening light.
Gotta Love Continuos Mode
While I don't use it often (only because I forget I have the option) it is a great feature for any kind of action photography. Just point the camera and hold the shutter down ... bang bang bang there you go you got 6 shots in one second. You are bound to get one good one ;-)
Very busy end of the week so I hope to catch up later over the weekend. Have a great and relaxing Friday!
Smores, creme brulee and lemon ricotta donuts from Mojo Monkey... The $1 coffee (not pictured) is always a nice touch, as well.

On a more somber note, Thailand & Cambodia
are still fighting and it has escalated to a fever
pitch! Some say war has been declared while
others are waiting for cooler heads to make
an announcement. Cambodia says it plans
to fire rockets into The Royal Palace, Bad!
12 points on the border are exchanging
fire as we speak.... We live 60 miles as
the crow flies from the shared border.
Wishing you all Happy Holidays ;)

Found this street shot in my archives. I didn't appreciate the wonderful cacophony of colour and 'stuff' until now. Taken more than 10 years ago at the Belle Chere festival in Asheville, NC.
Our funny little girl crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. She had been constantly ill over the past few months and as the vet said "she is not in a happy place". It was time to let her go.
Who knew there could be so many tears?

Another cold front came through today and work is piling up. Between the wet sleet and the process of buying a building to house Studio d'Xavier, I seem to be losing my inspiration. This 365 project is starting to be torture. I feel like I need a break. I've lost my mojo.

Mojo and Yoda were born just a few months apart. Mojo (on the left) is four months younger than Yoda - even though he's a lot grayer in the face. Yoda was our first pug. We got him as a ten-week old puppy. We saw his spunky personality and beautiful apricot coat, and took him home the same day we met him. Mojo came from a different breeder, but we found out from his pedigree that he's Yoda's "cousin" - the have the same grandsire. Mojo was born in a litter of nine pugs - which is a HUGE number for the breed. We picked Mojo because he was the most social and friendly pup in his litter.
Mojo and Yoda are both right around nine years old. They're spoiled rotten.
Real Name: Lloyd Ventrix
Occupation: Criminal
Gender: Male
Height: 5'11
Weight: 179lbs (81kg)
Lloyd Ventrix was a robber who was arrested, and his ex-wife Helen had a restraining order issued. He wasn't allowed within one-hundred feet of either her or his daughter Kimberly. Ventrix, however, very much loved Kimberly and felt he answered to a higher power than the law, and as such was not going to let a piece of paper stop him.
After being paroled and finding work with Sam Giddell as an errand boy, Ventrix stole samples of an experimental plastic, which bent light instead of absorbing it when an electrical current was applied to it. While the material was able to make the plastic invisible, one of its flaws was that it was toxic to both the mind and body. Ventrix fashioned a full-body suit out of the material, and used it to acquire both the means to steal anything without detection and the ability to visit his daughter without being caught. Using the name "Mojo", Ventrix became Kimberly's "invisible friend".
I'd love to hear what you think,
