Moisture in Red & Green.

shaking the moisture from its wings on a gorgeous misty morning

Simply the best time to photograph bokeh - after the rain and in the sunshine AND through my Tamarisk tree.

Late day sunlight sneaks into the scene just before sunset captured there from Cadillac Mountain in Maine. Liked the exposed water on the rocks that was reflecting that sunlight. The mix of that light on the rocks, textures, and lichen was pretty amazing to take all in.

As a photographer you take photos because you are recording what your eye is seeing at the time and for me I use this medium as an art form, and from time to time I get goose bumps when I look through the view finder and see something out of the ordinary, and this is one of those shots.

I took this one this morning at around 7.00am my first sunrise outing for some time and to come back with this kind of shot made it all worth while, it even shows up some cobweb strands, and I just LOVE that water droplet at the tip of that thorn! Please let me know what you think of it!!

Another of my shots from my early visit to Knowlton Church.

The misty morning was a bonus this visit and what looks like mist in the lower forground,is in fact moisture on my grad filter.

I thought it has given another dimension to the scene,so I have left it in.

This only occurred due to the sun warming the filter in the cold conditions.

Spring arrives but Tom departs this Earth - Another sad loss to covid-19 (Shame about what happened in 2023)

Like all desert animals, the desert bighorn sheep have adapted to their environments lack of free-standing water. They have evolved a nine-stage digestive process that allows for the maximum absorption of both nutrients and moisture from the grasses and other vegetation that they eat. Even with this extremely efficient digestive process, desert bighorn sheep must seek out standing water to drink every two to three days.

Moisture passes by tantalisingly close as dark cloud formations roll over the arid landscape of the Lake Mungo sand drifts. NSW, Australia

Love Life, Love Photography

Tropical moisture is moving into the midwest later this week.We got in two days of planting this week so far(that includes today-hopefully!),but still need several more.It is definitely turning out to be a year for the record books...

Blew onto the deck and a little moisture kept it there long enough for me to get a shot!

Moisture or mist or condensation rising from the surface of Lake Donner trapped in the very dry peaks of the Sierra Nevadas just outside the city limits of Truckee California a little more than a we ago as we commenced our journey east to bee hive state for my damsels siblings nuptials. #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @apple #excellent_america @bheventspace @bhphoto @omsystem.cameras @adorama @visitcalifornia @visittruckeetahoe @tamracphoto @tiffencompany

Scalesia pedunculata Hook.f. is a member of the Daisy family or Asteraceae, growing to a slender tree (20m tall, DBH 20 cm), and found in dense stands on the humid windward coasts of the islands of Santa Cruz, San Cristobal, Santiago and Floreana in the Galapagos Islands.

The Galapagos archipelago lies in the southeast trade wind zone, so that climate and weather are dominated by the moisture-bearing trade winds and the topography of the islands. In general, the windward sides of the islands have a much higher precipitation than the leeward sides.

Overnight mist accumulated into some wonderfully wet scenes in the garden.

We had light rain for some hours this morning 👍. I loved walking in it.

Droplets of moisture dangle from an Eastern Redbud branchlet following a winter rain.

Taken for the "Smile on Saturday" theme of 2/27/2021: BRANCHES AND TWIGS.

Cryptomeria japonica or red cypress, a beautiful specimen of conifer, originally from Japan and China, now vastly dispersed on the Azores islands. It's lush emerald green "foliage" and the enormous moisture on those Atlantic islands conjur into lush, dense rain forests of marvelous greens and reds (the fallen branches). Happy Tree-mendous Tuesday!

Macro abstract shot of the moisture condensations on the window captured in a winter morning. Calgary, Alberta. Canada.

This is the spot where Snively Hot Springs dumps into the Owyhee River. You get this effect when the air temp and moisture in the air are just right. It enters from the right hand side of this photo.

Another session with the back window.

Thinking of the children's book, " Charlotte's Web " as I walked on a foggy New Years Eve morning, I noticed many webs here and there. This one presented itself in a most beautiful way with all the moisture droplets coating it's strands.

Capturing the winter roses along the Rose District in Broken Arrow. Yes, captured on 12/21/2021 and that is a lot of 2s and 1s in a date hand.

Newfoundland

In many places in Newfoundland, hiking paths have been built since the amount of rain and moisture on the island is such that much of the land is made up of bogs that are quite deep. The paths keep the hiker from sinking into the bog while also protecting the terrain.

Testing the robustness of my A99. It still works - the moisture in the damp grass didn't affect it at all.

looks like it'll be a few more days before we can safely leave the house....frozen sleet covering everything....almost fell twice going out to the streetside mail box......results after 3 hours of melting.

The coves & wetlands hold a bit of moisture above the lake surface on a crystal clear Autumn day.

After rain in the Northwest fells

Just to reassure friends we don't have blazing sun all summer though our farmers are suffering a drought away from the coastal rain.

Much needed moisture

Two years ago, the forest floor could still store moisture and finding mushrooms was easy
