he doesn’t move. the ocean, the breeze, the sailboats — none of it touches him. bent over a glowing screen, with his face in shadow and light behind him, he becomes the emblem of now. he sits like punctuation at the edge of the frame: a full stop at the end of the day, waiting for something that won't return.
he doesn’t move. the ocean, the breeze, the sailboats — none of it touches him. bent over a glowing screen, with his face in shadow and light behind him, he becomes the emblem of now. he sits like punctuation at the edge of the frame: a full stop at the end of the day, waiting for something that won't return.
beneath a curtain of falling data, he walks—detached from the world, connected only by the glow in his hand. the water pulses like digital rain, tracing his silhouette across a glistening plane of distraction. this moment, fleeting and silent, blurs the line between presence and absence.
beneath a facade of perfect rectangles, a man in pink glides by — flip-flop rhythm echoing on stone. he pushes a stroller through a grid of light and absence, color and calm. a study in geometry, yes — but also in the quiet theatre of ordinary life, walking its own line across a frame that could be anywhere and nowhere.
I often go to a cosmetic’s shop in a side street off the main shopping street here in Düsseldorf.
The staff are so friendly and so smart !
They always agree to pose for portraits and always ask me to email to them.
This guy wanted to use this for a job application... made me feel pretty good:))
I have some pens and pencils.
A moleskine.
And a head full of quotes, lyrics and the like.
Come and see them at Quoteskine.tumblr.com

I noticed the juxtaposition of the modern empowered female against the emasculated modern male, the facial expressions say it all. the role reversal is almost complete!

"Blossoming out in all the right places to a voluptuous 38-21-35, blue-eyed, brown-haired Iris is capable of out-Mansfielding Jayne at the drop of a flash bulb. Photog Russ Meyer dropped quite a few flash bulbs in photographing the Worcester, England, born and bred belle."
I actually bought this magazine for the article! A profile of Maxwell Bodenheim.

on a Victorian Station
Brighton Station opened on 11th May 1840. The Italian style station and all the original stations on the line were the design of architectect David Mocatta. The beautiful double-spanned, cast iron and glass train shed shown in this image was fully restored in 1999/2000. Brighton is the only remaining station from the original development.

behind the mask - /25
"Wir mögen uns vielleicht hinter der Maske des 21. Jahrhunderts verstecken. In der Evolution der Energieversorgung befinde wir uns jedoch in der Steinzeit."
Florian Schaller
A rough translation:
"We may hide behind the mask of the 21st century. However in the evolution of energy supply we find ourselves in stone age."
Model: Florian Schaller
Florian lives and works in Berlin. He works for a solar company and wanted to use the concept of energy and mankind's wasteful approach as part of the mask project. We used wig hair to create a beard and wild eyebrows using craft adhesive which worked perfectly well. After taking the bearded shot in a suit, Florian shaved and cleaned himself up for the modern look.

This is a photograph of a poster at a traveling exhibition.
(Homage to its instinctive artist.)
The exhibition's name and sponsor escape me.

Caught mid-stride and mid-stream on Randolph Place, our lad in cobalt blue makes it clear—when the West End calls, he answers with headphones in and calves out. Bonus points for not tripping on that historic kerb.
I photographed this image at Preston Castle in Ione, California, an old run down building with tons of room, some closed off, some with holes in them, four stories high. Almost every room is different and perfect for photographs. Too bad it costs too much to shoot there everyday!

I asked one of my upcoming brides to be photographed for some fashion work, and she agreed. We had her in my car right in front of my home. My driveway slopes down, so I parked my car sideways on my driveway, hoping my other car's headlight from above would pour into the window. However, the light was hard cutting off her waist. So, I added a softbox and tipped it down into the car. After that, I added a small adjustable flashlight to the left side of her softly.
captured on the paseo marítimo in palma, this photograph exudes an air of determination and effortless style. the man's confident stride and athletic physique are accentuated by the black and white tones, drawing focus to his presence and the textures of his attire. his relaxed yet purposeful walk against the backdrop of the bustling promenade tells a story of self-assuredness and individuality, making him a striking subject amid the city's vibrant energy.
