Instead of a white paper seamless background I tried out some translum lit from the back. Gridded octabox boomed from above and a scrim camera left low for fill.

I’ve been playing around with shooting with an Oly 35RC for portraiture work. First of all, using a rangefinder instead of a through the lens camera, is a different approach which is inspire me to shoot more and more. Secondly, the lens is a 42mm (could be 40mm) fixed, so it’s forcing me to incorporate more of the scene, and lastly, it’s such an awesome little tiny camera that at times it feels like i’m shooting with a toy. It’s fun! I see something I like and I click the camera and it’s almost as if I didn’t take a picture so when I get the rolls back it’s like magic watching them come to life.
I shot this on Fuji Superia 400 but when I hit the v key in LR I felt it just worked better. Made me wish I had shot it with across 100 instead
