Paris, France, Le Palais Royal. "Les Modes," a sculpture in bronze by Wang Du. The installation includes 3 seperate pieces, about which the program states "La presse écrite, Internet et la télévision sont les supports privilégiés de son art. De ce recours quasi obsessionnel aux médias, Wang Du extrait les images les plus frappantes, créant ainsi une « post-réalité » qui oscille entre monde réel et virtualité du monde médiatique. Dans le jardin, il a posé trois journaux froissés en boule, surdimensionnés et en acier, qui appartiennent à la série des «Modes». "

Met de sluiting van de suikerfabriek in Halfweg in 1992 kwam ongeveer 110.000 m² grondoppervlak vrij voor herbestemming; het terrein dat tegenwoordig luistert naar de naam SugarCity. De twee 50 meter hoge, tot kantoorruimte omgebouwde, suikersilo’s vormen twee prachtige bakens op dit industriële erfgoed.
In 2011 opent station Halfweg-Zwanenburg direct tegenover de silo's waardoor men binnen 10 minuten op zowel NS Station Haarlem Centraal als NS Station Amsterdam Centraal kan staan!
Huurders op SugarCity zijn o.a.: Pepe Jeans, Cross Jeanswear, JC Rags, DEPT, Freemz, Rebel Rebel, Charapa, Kentie & Partners architecten e.a.
Op het terrein worden de volgende zaken gerealiseerd: supermarkt, winkels, hotel, enkele horeca gelegenheden, jachthaven en kantoor-/ showroomruimten.

Transformers Generations Arcee in her robot mode.
After decades of waiting for an official G1 Arcee, we finally got a great representation of the female Autobot with this toy.
Her design and features are a step above most of the recent Generations releases. She can pose quite well with all her accessories.
To me, this probably will be my defacto Classics Arcee over other third-party releases I have.
I have the Takara-Tomy version of pre-order, and it remains to be seen which one I will prefer.
