Work is completely manic at the moment, I'm clearly overwhelmed and stressed out, and this explains why I'm late with my uploads, why my pictures have been pretty boring recently, and why I haven't had a chance to visit your streams lately. I'm now doing this project in survival mode, just taking pictures because I have to but not having enough time to think them through or set them up correctly, and this is not the way I like doing things. I can't give up so close to the end, but is it worth sticking to it if I can't do it properly?

I. Projekt-Leitung - Josef Ganz - Produzent
Josef Ganz legte den Grundstein für den VW Käfer, indem er das Design und das Konzept des Prototyps entwickelt hat.
Josef Ganz wurde zusehends an seiner Arbeit gehindert, schikaniert, von der Gestapo verhaftet.

1934 musste Josef Ganz Deutschland verlassen. Er floh in die Schweiz, wo er sein Projekt «Volkswagen» weiterführen konnte. Er konstruierte den sogenannten «Schweizer Volkswagen», ein Schweizer Auto nach demselben Muster, und führte ihn in Zürich vor.
«Josef Ganz lebte sehr gut in der Schweiz – bis Ende der 1930er-Jahre. Denn nach dem Ausbruch des Zweiten Weltkriegs versuchten seine Feinde aus Deutschland das Schweizer Volkswagen-Projekt sabotieren. Ausserdem nahmen sie Kontakt zu hohen Schweizer Behörden auf, um ihm das Leben schwer zu machen – mit dem Ziel, ihn buchstäblich aus der Schweiz hinauszuwerfen.» Josef Ganz wanderte schliesslich desillusioniert nach Australien aus, wo er einige Jahre später völlig verarmt starb.

Paul Schilperoords Biografie des jüdischen Automobil-Ingenieurs ist bereits 2009 erschienen. Trotzdem kennt bis heute praktisch niemand den Namen Josef Ganz.
II: Design der Karosse: Bela Barenyi - Erfinder
- Austro-Hungarian engineer, he was employed by various Austrian automobile companies: Austro-Fiat, Steyr and Adler automobile companies before joining Daimler-Benz in 1939.
Barenyi gilt als der große Bestohlene in der Geschichte des Automobilbaus. 1925 zeichnete der 18jährige Nachwuchskonstrukteur in Wien seine ersten Pläne für Automobile, unter anderem einen "kommenden Volkswagen" mit luftgekühltem Vierzylinder-Boxermotor im Heck und dem Getriebe vor der Hinterachse.
Mit dieser und anderen Zeichnungen bewarb er sich bei Automobilherstellern und Konstruktionsbüros, 1932 bei Ferdinand Porsche in Stuttgart. Der lehnte ab. Vier Jahre später schickte Porsche im Auftrag der NS-Führung die ersten Prototypen des Volkswagens in die Erprobung. Sie trugen alle wesentlichen Konstruktionsmerkmale des Entwurfs von Barenyi.

Daß der es nicht war, wissen Fachleute und Gerichte, wissen die Wolfsburger Konzernleitung und auch die Familie Porsche seit langem.
Aber erst jetzt erhält Bela Barenyi, 87, der weithin unbekannte Erfinder, einen späten moralischen Ausgleich für sein jahrzehntelanges Schattendasein:
Im Laufe der Jahrzehnte wechselte die Staatszugehörigkeit von Österreich über Tschechoslowakei nach Deutschland.
Barényi wurde 1999 für die Auszeichnung als
Autoingenieur des Jahrhunderts nominiert und 1994 in die Detroit Automotive Hall of Fame aufgenommen.

Barényi's patent count documented at the European Patent Office is 1,244 worldwide with 595 of those filed in Germany, the primary filing country of his primary employer.

He is also credited with having conceived the basic design for the Volkswagen Beetle in 1925, five years before Ferdinand Porsche claimed to have done his version.
Barényi was nominated for the award of Car Engineer of the Century in 1999 and inducted into the Detroit Automotive Hall of Fame in 1994.

When I complained to the seller concerning the poor quality, I was told there were far too many for her to do. Any job worth doing is worth doing well - especially if you are getting paid for it.

I used a solar filter which renders the sun WHITE, not the orange you see here. The sun is SO bright that you have to stretch the data to see some of the grain, and orange/yellow helps to make the solar details easier to see. However since this is a STACK most of that good data is lost in the stacking process.
What is a stack? Photoshop people will know this as a "layer" but instead of using screen mode or lighten mode as one with a star trail, I used ***** mode.

You'll notice from the slider that Venus doesn't move at a uniform speed. Lots of reasons including that the apparent motion of Venus across the face of the sun is due to a combination of: Venus' rotation around the sun; Earth's Rotation around the sun AND earth's rotation on it's axis. For super fun, enter "Manila, Phillipines" in the search box and you'll see something rather interesting. Advance the slider and you'll notice the ingress is slow but the egress is rapid. (It also makes a LOOP).
My results from Trona Pinnacles look quite linear - but I was using an Equatorial mount so was getting very little field rotation.
From our vantage point (Phil McGrew was with me), the motion was quite linear - see below for the forecast path.
