Hajime Sorayama
Contemporary Artist
Since 1978, Contemporary Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama has been inspired by science fiction. Fusing futurism, cyberpunk, and sex into a breathtaking display of desire, he challenges us to question the boundaries of humanity and technology. With a signature style that has captivated a cult following across fashion and celebrity collectors, Hajime Sorayama’s robot women, dogs, pop culture icons, and cyborg subjects remind us that the edge of reality and fantasy is not always clear. We must be conscious of the space we occupy in an ever-evolving landscape of technology and humanity.
Hajime Sorayama
Hedendaagse Kunstenaar

One of the art installations at the Moco Museum in Marble Arch London is a fully mirrored room. Mirrors tofloor, walls and ceiling. The room has a form of laser lighting rotating between Blue red and pink. This was obviously taken in the blue phase!!!!

This is another image taken while at The Moco Museum in London. There is a mirrored room with changing light sources. The heart was outside the mirrored area and was part of another exhibit.....

This is meant to be an interpretation of Eeyore the Donkey by Jeff Koons. It is made of highy polished stainless steel. The purple is pleasing on the eye but I'm not sure I can see Eeyore…….
Update
I have researched Jeff Koons.
He sold a polished stainless steel oversized blow up dog in 2013 for 58 million dollars. That is the fourth highest amount paid at auction to a living artist!!!!!
OK. If he says it's Eeyore it's Eeyore!
Thanks for visiting.
You have great day.....

Moco Museum
The Moco Museum (Modern Contemporary Museum) is an independent art museum with locations in Amsterdam, Barcelona, and London, dedicated to exhibiting modern and contemporary art. The museum was founded with the mission of attracting broader and younger audiences, and making art accessible to the public.
Moco Museum in Amsterdam opened in 2016 on Museumplein, in the historic Villa Alsberg, a townhouse designed in 1904 by Eduard Cuypers the nephew of Pierre Cuypers, designer of Amsterdam Central Station and the Rijksmuseum. The townhouse was one of the first privately owned residencies on Museumplein and remained so until 1939.
The museum was founded in 2016 by Kim Logchies-Prins and Lionel Logchies as an independent initiative aiming “to make modern and contemporary art more accessible to a wider audience beyond traditional collectors and institutions”. Early collections and programming focused on popular modern and contemporary figures and street art, aiming to reach broader audiences through accessible exhibitions, and included works by artists such as Banksy and Andy Warhol. Commentators have described the museum as part of a broader shift towards privately funded art spaces that combine high-profile popular culture with contemporary art collections, including digital and immersive works.
The museum displays works from its permanent collection as well as loaned pieces, which are exhibited in rotation. Programming combines works from the Moco collection with external loans, presented in regularly changing displays. Exhibited artists have included Banksy, Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Yayoi Kusama, KAWS, Jeff Koons, JR, Icy & Sot, Tracey Emin, and Studio Irma, among others.

Now, back to London, early September. These photos are from the Moco Museum. This amazingly long, detailed creation was created by Takashi Murakami. It's the sort of artwork you could spend ages looking out.
Takashi Murakami (born February 1, 1962) is a Japanese contemporary artist. He works in fine arts (such as painting and sculpture) as well as commercial media (such as fashion, merchandise, and animation) and is known for blurring the line between high and low arts. His work draws from the aesthetic characteristics of the Japanese artistic tradition and the nature of postwar Japanese culture. He has designed covers for several hip hop albums, namely Kanye West's Graduation (2007), Future's eponymous fifth studio album (2017), West and Kid Cudi's Kids See Ghosts (2018), and Juice Wrld's posthumous The Party Never Ends (2024). Lunar Garden scuplture by Daniel Arsham, 2024
With no watch or clock, how would you measure the passing of time? Contemporary artist Daniel Arsham invites us into his world of fintional archaeology, where past, present and future coexist. Lunar Garden is a surreal landscape that exists outside of time - inspired by Japanese rock gardens.

Nevermore Park was an immersive art installation in the Pilsen neighborhood on the Lower West Side of Chicago, open from October 24, 2019, to December 29, 2019. The exhibit was created by Hebru Brantley as a realization of his fictional neighborhood of Nevermore Park, the home of Brantley's recurring characters, Flyboy and Lil Mama. Brantley also focused on honoring Chicago history and emphasizing themes of community and black heroism. (From Wikipedia)
... as part of the Lichtenstein exhibition at Moco Museum, Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The 3D interior room installation is based on Lichtenstein’s painting 'Bedroom at Arles', which he made in 1992 after a postcard of Van Gogh’s famous 'The Artist’s Room at Arles' (1888-89). (For more information see: mocomuseum.com/stories/story-roy-lichtenstien-kamer-beeld....)

A one-of-a-kind experience aimed at a wide audience, a visit to Moco is a true eye-opener.

Banksy. A mysterious British artist known for his humorous and political street art. The Banksy exhibition at Moco contains several of his infamous street pieces, as well a large number of his indoor works, including work on canvas. One of these is his giant 'Beanfield' painting, a beautiful piece that is displayed on the ground floor. An impossible-to-miss eye-catcher as you enter the Banksy exhibition. Other highlights include 'Girl with Balloon', 'Laugh Now' and 'Keep It Real'. The Banksy collection at Moco Museum: come check it out!
The Modern Contemporary (Moco) Museum has made its home in Villa Alsberg, a townhouse overlooking Museumplein in the heart of Amsterdam. The building was designed in 1904 by Eduard Cuypers, nephew of the renowned Pierre Cuypers who designed Amsterdam's Central Station and the Rijksmuseum, which is at the opposite end of the square. This privately-owned residence was one of the first family homes built along Museumplein and retained this function until 1939. Subsequently, the house was let to priests who taught at the Saint Nicolas School in Amsterdam, and later it was converted into an office for a law firm.
No effort is spared to ensure that this breathtaking mansion makes an impact on visitors, adding an extra layer to the Moco experience. There is one small drawback, though: charming as the building is, its compact size does mean it can feel crowded during peak hours.
The Moco Museum is a private initiative of Lionel and Kim Logchies. The exhibited works of art are on loan from their carefully cultivated international network of art collectors. Part of the proceeds from the museum will be donated to charities that are close to the hearts of the initiators.

These are all created by Keith Haring, and the funny thing is the present Tim bought me for my anniversary was a sweatshirt, covered in Keith Haring artwork! None of us had any idea that his artwork would be on display here! What a coincidence! (I don't have a photo of me in it, but I will try and get a photo for Flickr soon)
Keith Allen Haring (May 4, 1958 – February 16, 1990) was an American artist whose pop art emerged from the New York City graffiti subculture of the 1980s. His animated imagery has "become a widely recognized visual language". (From Wikipedia)
