Virlanie's Mobile Unit works with families living and working in Divisoria. Living conditions are harsh. Shelter is sometimes simply a plastic sheet covering a few square meters of sidewalk next to a stinking, fetid canal.
Around 2pm, after braving the heavy traffic from Makati City, the van from Virlanie Foundation's Mobile Unit arrives at Binondo Plaza in Divisoria.
The Mobile Unit works in Binondo five afternoon per week, and staff are available at other times when the street children they serve need their help.
Some of the Mobile's staff go to meet the street families that Virlanie works with. A few of the these families live along the 'esteros' just two blocks from the plaza, sheltering in tents made from plastic sheet or umbrellas. The parent's eek out a living from casual jobs in the nearby markets.
As the staff return to the van, children walk with them, looking forward to the next few hours in the company of Virlanie staff and volunteers.

A team of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Sindh chapter visited Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) at Chacharo, Tharparkar. The project has been implemented in collaboration with International Helping Hand (IHH) Turkey and Islamic Development Bank (IDB). Alkhidmat team jointly conducted the monitoring visit of the project and discussed the AKFP's profile for the next phase of the project.
