Sandor NAGY, 1924, oil on canvas triptych, , GƶdƶllÅ premostratiensian Abbey
SĆ”ndor Nagy's monumental pano was made in 1924 for the ceiling of the main staircase of the newly built Premontrian High School in GƶdƶllÅ. The painting went into hiding for many decades after the nationalisation of 1950, and was rediscovered in 2019 by the museologists of the Budapest Historical Museum's Municipal Picture Gallery. The symbolism of the work is unique: it depicts the Milky Way, or as the Szeklers called it, the Way of the Wars. In the starry sky, the rulers of bygone ages gallop at the head of their armies, and together they rush to the aid of their troubled homeland.
Ferenc SzƩchƩnyi, the founder of the National Museum, has a statue in the Museum garden. It was erected in 1902, depicts the founder in the robes of the Distinguished Order of the Golden Fleece.

This series has been taken on a regular guided tour of the "MusƩe National des Mines de Fer Luxembourgeoises" (National Mining Museum): Handheld with on camera speedlite. No tripod, no long- nor multiple- exposures. Pseudo-HDR (from one single exposure) processed with HDR Efex Pro 2 from the NIK Collection.

Mine 83 . I waited since forever for this head. But I don't regret it, at all! I love him. A lot. Now I need to find a super pink body to match it.
The only one of my previous motors I had no pics of. Lo and behold, an old Hi8 video from 1991, unearthed by my nephew appears. Complete with mag-mount CB aerial.
