14th June 2015 - Hawker Hurricane Mk1 R4118 is widely regarded as the most historic British aircraft to survive in flying condition from the Second World War and is the only Hurricane from the Battle of Britain still airborne today. Here she is taxiing out in the capable hands of its owner and careful restorer Peter Vacher.
It almost looks photoshopped in this image, the American style really doesn't fit in such an old French village.

A beautiful late 1960s Ford Escort Mk1 seen amongst many others of a similar vintage at the East Midlands Classic Car Show at Whisby Garden Centre near to Lincoln on the first day of August 2021.
Happy New Year to you all 🎉. May 2025 bring you new wheels, metaphorically speaking. Failing that, perhaps a Mk1 Golf to fix up?!
In 2019 the Royal Air Force bid farewell to the Short Tucano, after 30 years in service into the air force as a training aircraft. The aircraft was a licence-built version of the Embraer Tucano. They fortunately sent 3 planes to RIAT 2019, the occasion for me to get some shots!
This years flying season is nearly upon us, & there has been quite a bit of warbird activity already. Yesterday I caught this shot of the Comanche Warbirds MkI X4650 being given a quick run under a foreboding sky, clearing out the winters cobwebs - There is just something about a MkI Spitfire on the grass at Duxford.
In late evening sun, 66515 reflects in the windows of a West Coast Railway Mk1 carriage at Midland Road Leeds.
There were a number of WCR Mk1 carriages on Freigtliner Midland Road this evening, I assume for wheel turning.

The car is faultless throughout, every aftermarket part (of which there are a lot!) has been carefully considered before fitting. This results in a highly modified car, which looks like it’s rolled off the Ford production line – spot on!
Lightpainted shot made up of around 5 exposures
This is a photograph that I took at the Gold Cup meeting at Oulton Park in August 2008. It’s a Lola Mk1 but is not shown in the programme of the event nor in the results listing, and the number 14 car in the Sports Racing Cars race is the Piper of Anthony Goddard. The Lola Mk1 was designed by Eric Broadley in 1958 and was usually powered by a 4-cylinder inline 1,098cc Coventry Climax engine. Around 40 of the cars were built and a variety of engines were used.
