Takachiho gorge is one of the well-known gorges in Japan. It has a beautiful waterfall called Manai no Taki (çåäºã®æ»).
The access to the gorge wasn't too easy unless you drive or your take tours, but it was well worth seeing these beautiful waterfalls, the emerald colored water, and the unique rock formations. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who is visiting Kyushu area in Japan. It was not very far from Mt. Aso area either so if you rent a car you can do both!
