I made many mistakes in my life, made wrong decisions and also injured people. But with pride I can say ... I stand by it. I don't hide anything. I don't have to make myself more important and better than I am to get attention. I don't have to turn on my friends' wives either. I am just me, with all strengths and weaknesses.

Friendship is one of life's greatest treasures.
Friends who are always there to make you laugh when you are down, they are not afraid to help you avoid mistakes and they look after your best interest and vice versa.

Location at Wild Rose
'Shambles' is the name of a street in the old part of York. It's a relatively short street but the charm of it is that most of the buildings have been there for a long, long time, some of them actually overhanging the street. And make no mistake, some of these buildings are proper old, some dating back as far as 1350 (yes, I did say 1350!). It's gone a bit Harry Potter in recent years with all kinds of shops selling things like broomsticks and magic charms. A hit with the tourists you might say. And yes, that's true. But you can't deny that when the tourists clear out it does have a wonderful look to it and well worth a photo or two.

Older photo.
Taken in motion while driving down Moss Mill Road. I somewhat remember that day, I know I had just gotten done work and I was on my way to pick up my children's dad. Took this while driving, it had just snowed.
The only reason I still have this photo is because I saved it from my other Flickr account.
Lucky! If it wasn't for the internet [Flickr, Facebook, Etc] I probably wouldn't have any photos at all..
When I say that I "lost everything", I literally lost EVERYTHING.. & multiple times. So, I am now VERY GRATEFUL for the internet.. because of my photos being online.. I still am able to access them. And that's great, because I'm proud of my photos (all of them). They hold memories for me, good and bad.. but they're a big long story of my life.. And I embrace each memory.
Everything that happens to us.. Happens FOR A REASON & I do believe that if everything that has happened to me, hadn't happened.. I truly wouldn't be half of the amazing soul that I am today. & Yes, I do think that I am amazing. Mistakes and all. I'm very proud.

This addiction thing is really stealing a lot of beautiful souls.. either to steal them while they're alive & turn them into someone you don't know.. or steal them and take them into death, so you can never see their beautiful smile again.

I was playing around with some of the settings in my camera's menu and accidentally turned on multiple exposures.
Didn't realize it until I went to my son and daughter-in-law's place a few days later for a "Tea, Pumpkin Carving and Games" party. My first 3 shots got combined into one triple exposure. Kind of a ghostly image, just in time for Halloween.
Sometimes, mistakes can make for an interesting image.

Like when shooting in direct sunlight, then walking into the shade and forgetting to change your camera settings. But, occasionally it works out. It just might take a little more post-processing than usual.

Hi, Sometimes I get this and sometimes I do not. On this whole macro photo shoot, there was a white haze that seems to go over the top of the photo. This is completely unedited. It even happens on the better exposed photos and with lower iso. I need help to identify the cause of this.
A new poster in a local shop window advertising local trades and obviously the photographer - A pity about the spelling mistake. (Glad it wasn't my work).
This guy pointed out the mistake and was kind enough to let me take his photograph.

It is always great to see the next generation of birds in my backyard. They often male amusing mistakes while learning to fly and survive.
