MGA Entertainment: Missle Command (2005)

Hallmark: Pac-Man (2008), Galaga (2009), Defender (2019), & Joust (2020)

Any respecting Video gamer in Bristol in the 1980s would visit here with all the silver coins they owned.

Changed in the 1990s to just Harry's, closed quite recently, sadly for good

Distortion-corrected using this Adobe lens profile.

The side of the Missile Command cabinet. Awesome artwork!

This is the Atari Players Guide that was put out by the Electronic Games Magazine. It is in Fine-plus (6.5) condition.

I know this isn't one of the magazines but this is a published piece from the Electronic Games family so I had to have it for my collection. Pretty standard stuff inside. Simple explanations on how to beat and improve your score with your Atari 2600 games. All that and very basic illustrations of the games. Still, brings back great memories... I probably should have read through this when I was a kid. I wonder if it would have made me a better player. No matter. This book is fairly easy to come by and as of writing this doesn't sell for too much. I suggest picking one up and enjoying the read.

The main video game area at Ground Kontrol arcade in Portland, OR

Great catch from the 2018 Seattle Retro Gaming Expo!

Another shot of the video game area at Ground Kontrol arcade in Portland, OR. Those stairs wind up to the pinball area.

Nice sunset as I rode my bike along 27 Mile Road in Washington Township, Michigan.

I especially liked the con trails in this photo.

Pengo, Pac-man, Centipede, Robotron 2084, Mario Bros, Pole Position, Q-Bert, Space Invaders, Missle Command, Vanguard, Galaxian

These were the games of the time in the late 1970's. There was no dvd, just cartridges and games like Astroids, Defender, Missle Command, Yar's Revenge and Combat.

Oh what a glorious time it was....look where we've come today with Madden Football, Zelda's Adventure and Role playing games of the 21'st Century

King of Kong? Commander of Missles?

No chance getting a go on this, was the first and most popular cabinet

Lately I've been doing little drawings here and there in a little 3.5x5" sketchpad.

Gorgeous painted illustrations. For some reason I really like the Warlords one.

ninethirtytwo: @shoners I've seen those. What exactly are they?

shoners: @ninethirtytwo it's a place where your instagram pics can be sold and made into canvases. Pretty cool idea. Go to instacanv.as to check out the process ;)

nimrodil: Wow! I loved MC as a kid (both in the arcades and home) and now remember the box to the Atari 2600/VCS-version:-). Cool pic (as so many of yours).

ninethirtytwo: @nimrodil it was a great game! The old Atari boxes had some great art on them. I still play mine now and then.

vino_bibereamo: This really takes me back.

ninethirtytwo: @vino_bibereamo me too. The old Atari boxes had some great artwork.

itstheglitter: This is beautiful:)

ninethirtytwo: @itstheglitter thank you it was an abandoned collage on a board in someones backyard.
