I was weary and kept checking behind me as a bear had been spotted here before and realised why it came to this haven.
Taken moments ago. The road to Moraine Lake i finally open for the year. This is one of the first shots I took upon arrival this morning.
English Counties
This is another collection of images which have been photographed over a long period of time. These are photographs taken mostly on holidays throughout our great English Counties. In the day we have travelled the length and breadth of Great Britain, with many coastal and country walks and a lot of photography.
This selection has been chosen from the many Kent photographs I have taken. Kent is a wonderful county to visit with many places of interest.
This is the second to last of the county series to be posted for the time being.....
And to think that I almost stayed in after work... Good thing I did not. I have never in my life taken so many landscape reflection images haha.

I took this mid-September last year. This was bar non, one of the best sunrises I have ever witnessed. It was a great morning and that spooky looking cloud hanging around Grotto Mountain made the morning for me haha.

It was an great night for aurora...
No World for Tomorrow is one of my favourite Coheed and Cambria songs... I feel tonight's show is deserving of the title...
"Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?"
I never wait... I go out into the night and see what happens haha. This was a few hours ago... Quarry Lake in Canmore Alberta.

For all the times I have ever been to Buller Pond... Yesterday evening was the first time I have ever seen it with zero cloud cover.
Is it any wonder I spend so much time up there? Haha.
The nights are drawing in now that autumn is here meaning that I rarely get the chance to go out with my camera during daylight hours!
I came to Stanley Ferry Marina because I wanted to try and capture some of the lovely reflections on the clear, still water. I loved the colour cast here from the street lights on the nearby road and the almost perfect, mirror-like reflection in the water. I also liked the moon's reflection as it peaked out from behind the clouds; this is why I chose not to crop in a letterbox shape and why there is some empty sky at the other side of the image.

I just unearthed this series of sunrise from last September... I honestly forgot about that really cool looking cloud haha.
I took this September... When I couldn't hike what I wanted to, my friend and I hoped in the car and headed to Moraine Lake. A few weeks ago, I posted what the lake look like before skipping stones in the lake. This is actually my favourite image from the day as it reminds me of a song released back in 2004 (or 2005) by Rise Against... Swing Life Away. A song written about a few people they met on tour while in Lake Louise.
For those who are unfamiliar with the Lake Louise road, Moraine Lake is an 11Km (or so) detour from Lake Louise itself.
Crazy things you do alone with a mirror...

The Beachcomber or ‘Stone Me’ and Others
I have over the years come across a few of these stone characters, and not only confined to the East Coast of England where I found the majority. They have been discovered in The States, France and Kent. A bit of a random order I know. Some have come home with me but in the main I have left them in situ. No stones were harmed in the making of these images and the ones who did come home did it willingly.
There has been a development, I have noticed faces looking at me embedded in other materials. I know, a bit left field. But I thought they needed to be identified. I haven’t yet seen any walls with ears but you never know. Is ‘Big Brother’ still watching?

I just found this in my collection of images of Moraine Lake in Banff National Park. I don't believe I have posted it before...
I just came across this on my work computer... I love going through older photos.
I believe this was taken September 30th, 2015. It was an absolutely incredible day to visit of of Canada's most iconic lakes.
The former monastery Höglwörth in Germany appears calm, almost tranquil. The lake in front the monastery is super still, almost like a mirror and the whole scene is reflected perfectly.

I took this back in August of last year. This was the second time I visited this amazing location in my life... It only took me 5 years to head back to it haha.
Kinney Lake is nestled approximately 6 Kms in on the Berg Lake Trail in Mount Robson Provincial Park. For those who do not know, Mount Robson is the tallest peak in the Canadian Rockies. You do hike in the behemoths shadow pretty much the entire time.
I hope it doesn't take me another 5 years to go back. I spent close to two hours just sitting by the lake snapping pictures haha.
To this day... I have never seen Moraine Lake as beautiful as it was September 15th, 2015.
The images I took that day still leave me speechless.

One day in November, the first snow of the season had just fallen, and the sun presented me with a dramatic sunset. The intense orange glow behind the mountains, the clouds and the sudden onset of fog, almost gives the appearance of fire and smoke whilst the lake Hintersee lies completely still, offering a perfect mirror image.
It is a beautiful location to visit and I like how it changes through the seasons.
The sun is setting over Piha beach on the North Island of New Zealand. The sea has receded and the evening sky is reflected in the puddles left behind by the low tide.

Night reflections of the big city and harbour lights
False Creek is a short inlet in the heart of Vancouver. It separates downtown from the rest of the city. It was named by George Henry Richards during his Hydrographic survey of 1856-63. George Richards named False Creek during his survey of the coast in the mid-19th century. While traveling along the south side of the Burrard Inlet, he thought he was traversing a creek; upon discovering his error, he gave the waterway its modern name. Wikipedia
The Granville Street Bridge is an eight lane bridge in Vancouver, British Columbia. It spans False Creek and is 27.4 metres above Granville Island.
Thank-you for all the overwhelming support and many friendships. Wishing you all health during this difficult time.
