The dog is obviously a Nikon fan because he doesn't listen to a word I say! :)

Morning coffee prior to walking up Stuc a Chroin, a munro north of Callander in the Trossachs area of Central Scotland - a completely stunning day with blue skys and crisp air. Cliffy the Min Pin is completely engrossed with the safety briefing which stipulates staying away from sheep and my lunch!!!!

North of Ballahulish en route to Fort William.

Unwinding with Mrs Nikon, Cliffy the "instamatic" Minpin and a hefty Canon....a cocktail topped with a sunset....

These are the last of Gingers flower pot shoot. I got all excited that spring was here and my tulips were starting to come up so I thought I'd put a little "spring" in Gingers step too. lol Then today it snowed...and is still snowing. Looks like a couple of inches so far and it's supposed to snow all night. SIGH!

Just one more photo of Riley (and Kevin the Miniature Pinscher) before I head back to Bozeman Pass. A pre-Christmas snowstorm in 2011 has coated the backyard with powder, and “Snowdog” (Riley loved the snow) and Kevin run like a zephyr.

Thanks for the supportive and uplifting comments the last few days. Our home feels emptier with the loss of Riley—my wife and I feel it—as well as our other two dogs, Minturn and Kevin. Our first dog, as well as their mentor and leader, is gone. Needless to say, the last two days have been difficult. Thank you again. May her spirit be flying again, like her ears in the wind.

The 2/20 Smile on Saturday theme is Profile Portrait. Here our chihuahua/MinPin Rosie is hopefully looking up to a friend for a treat.

My first attempt at RAW.

I actually have been reading and reading my XTi Field Book and decided to try the RAW photography. I actually got to adjust the exposure on this one as it was a bit too dark so this could be a whole new door opening in photography for me.

Abby

We went hiking in the redwoods.

I don't know if you read the book The Minpins, but I felt like a minpin.

Once again, more photos on tumblahhh

A fantastic April's night! It's not normal seeing the northern lights here in southern Norway, and especially not as beautiful as this.

My album of Aurora and night images here.
