As our train was nearing Ourense, Galicia, we had this view of some of the bridges crossing the Miño River. The first century A.D. Roman bridge is in the background closest to the city.
Vista panorámica de la desembocadura del Miño desde el monte de Santa Tecla. Aunque el tiempo no acompañaba demasiado, por la omnipresente bruma de las Rías Baixas y la vista no tiene la definición que me gustaría pero la espectacularidad del entorno bien merece el fotomontaje.
Preciosa Fervenza do Miño. Hay un precioso paseo de unos 17 km bordeando de forma continua el río hasta llegar a esta, muy aconsejable para aficionados al senderismo.

Yendo hacia Lugo, vamos a encontrarnos, de nuevo, con el Río Miño, concretamente, entre Rábade y Outeiro de Rei.
Allí, es atravesado por este Puente Medieval ( S.XIII-XIV ) construido, según parece, según la traza de un puente Romano anterior.
Nos acercamos a un area de enorme importancia biológica y paisajística de las " Terras do Miño ".
Going towards Lugo, we´ll meet the Miño River, between Rábade and Outeiro de Rei. There, it´s crossed by this Medieval Bridge ( 13-14 th centuries ).
We are approaching an area of enormous biológical importance in " Terras do Miño ".

I just found this one is a new species for me.
As far as I know, this subspecies is endemic to the State of Ceará in Northeast Brazil. It was described in 2008.

RÍO MIÑO
Por la provincia de Lugo pasa el río Miño, el más importante de Galicia. Nace en la Sierra de Meira (Lugo) y discurre por esta zona, siendo un auténtico símbolo de la región. Además, recibe afluentes notables como el río Neira y el río Ferreira.
Así juega la puesta de sol con el río Miño.

MIÑO RIVER
The Miño River runs through the province of Lugo and is the most important river in Galicia. It rises in the Sierra de Meira (Lugo) and flows through this area, becoming a true symbol of the region. It also receives notable tributaries such as the Neira River and the Ferreira River.

El Miño, padre de los ríos gallegos, y uno de los principales españoles, ofrece este modesto arranque tras dejar Fonmiñá (Lugo), su lugar oficial de nacimiento. Su caudal se irá ensanchando hasta convertirse en una gran corriente fluvial que desembocará en el Atlántico, entre A Guardia (España) Caminha (Portugal, después de recorrer más de 300 kilómretros y bañar las ciudades de Lugo y Ourense.
