Another picture from my #shops Miniproject.
This is Dalby Bike Barn. A great little bike shop in the middle of a forest.
The adventurous crew of the magnificent Steamrod spent years missing in action, only to return home speaking of treasures and action that turn into modern legends in the capitol cities of the world.
Blistering heat is encouragement to press onwards, and icy cold plains are the catalyst that brings the adventurous spirit out in the crew of the Steamrod. The only enemy that has ever bested the majestic crew is the evil Lord Sinistree and his devious Slybots.
As captain of the Steamrod, Sir Jonathan Bolt has lead countless expeditions into the unknown in search of forgotten relics and mysteries.
Through raging gales and windswept ice storms, the expert hand of Psi Clone the Android keeps Steamrod on track at full speed.
Cool-headed through battle and chaos, Lady Abigail Stratus clears the skies of enemy attackers with her steam-spear turrret.
Professor Articus works amidst jumbles of past treasures and documents containing ancient formula that will revolutionize the way science is perceived.
Stay tuned for more details in the next few days....

The last night at school was semi-frantic, everyone packing as much as possible and then trying to pawn off onto others what wouldn't fit in storage or their suitcases. I got this necklace from Kenna and some really nice men's button-ups.
Still kind of decompressing. I just want to sleep forever.
As a forebearer of things to come, Lord Sinistree's Slybots lead the way in their gyroscopic helipacks.
And if the Slybots are here, the evil lord himself is bound to be close on their heels....
From summer 2013 at the cabin. A 30 second exposure from the marina by our cabin. It's starting to be spring here, time to start thinking about summer at the cabin.
Posted as day 5 of a combined 10 day B&W challenge from Cindy's Here and kfpsardou. One thing I like about this miniproject is that I'm going through some older photos doing a little past processing. I had taken a series of long exposures at the marina that I never did process. A nice little rediscovery in my archives. I'm trying to post something a little different every day, and this day is a long exposure landscape.

Alternative wedding pictures. Final one.
This photo is a part of a mini project I intended to do long time ago and the main aim of this project is to shoot photographers while in action.

That's all I can think of right now :)
The idea of this "food awareness week" project came up while I was eating this sugary donut. I realized, I constantly break my diet and all my desperate attempts to lose wight is useless this way. Luckily, I am taking the Project 365 challenge this year and my group's weekly theme is "food photography" this week. So why not combine the two and start a mini project on my meals? The truth is a had already ate two donuts when I figured out my plan so this pic is just an evoke of my breakfast, but from now on, I will take pictures of everything that I plan to eat. :)
With Christmas just a few weeks away, thought I would do a mini project based around the festive event call pantomime.
Using just a few simple props from around the house to explore the various panto’s that are around.
This project will be spread over a few nights working on different panto titles etc.
Tonight a couple of goes at Cinderella
Feliç Cap d'Any i molta llum pel 2013!
I think I haven't got enough pictures for a round up with a picture of each month of this 2012, so I decided to revisit my favorites taken with 12 different cameras. It has been a year full of new and exciting stuff, but I had some intervals of photographic stagnation, too.
My photographic resolution for 2013 is to do more photographic miniprojects, more pictures with intention, with more coherence, more series, because I realized that having a camera with me at all times, every day, kind of kills my creativity and, at the end, I become bored of myself.
Happy New Year's Eve and a lot of light for 2013!

Thanks to Archana for this link, which I saw while leaving from the work today. Decided to experiment and surprise the family. If it does not turn out, I can eat it that in any form as I like bananas. At the end, it did not turn out in Ice Cream form but enjoyed the smoothy. As I prepared this, I gave full marks to myself in all aspects. But Sudha and Anshu gave Okay nod. Probably, next time....................
I added both Peanut butter as well as honey. At the end, added some raisins and cashew for decoration. I would say, for my skills, this turned out to be exceptionally well.
When I was reading the recipe with photos, thought of executing mini project.
Try viewing on black.
Confession: I spent a fair portion of Saturday sort of... hung over after the Rush concert last night. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch and watched a bunch of college football and the Yankees and Mets games.. and then came home, where I fell asleep on the couch for most of the afternoon. Turns out boring Saturday shots are still boring Saturday shots, even when you have a miniproject.
This is the first HAA I've done, and Ive still spotted a couple of small errors.
To enable this mini-project, I have done the following:
1. Removed the huge Hornby buffers and have replaced with the correct pattern Oleo types. I first snipped off the old ones, filed the remnants of the shanks flat and level, drilled out the central locating hole to accept the new Oleo variants. I then test fitted them. I then removed them, primed them, and painted, before fitting with a dab of superglue.
2. I have removed the Hornby tension lock couplings and associated N.E.M sockets and have replaced them with "Instanter" type couplings.
3. I have added Colin Craig brake discs at opposite ends
4. I have painted and weathered the three main components (Chassis, support frame and main tub) separately, using the trusted 'wipe on-wipe off' method.
5. I have added air pipes for the train brake.
6. I added some black splodges to the buffer heads to simulate grease.
Now I have another 35 to go! :)
I hope you like the end result. This is the side view
(edit: I appear to have put the wheels back in the wrong way round! - the discs should be on the other end. twit!)

This evening I took Vanessa to Borders, where we spent about an hour and a half browsing before the bookstore closed at 11 p.m. She collected a few books, set them down on an easy chair, and left for a few minutes, during which I decided I wanted to get a candid shot of her as she perused her materials. In order to challenge myself a bit, I also decided I would take exactly ONE photo, no more, and hope for the best. So while Vanessa was away, I set up my camera and speedlight and planned the shot, for which I settled on a shutter speed of 1/350 sec., an ISO of 200, an aperture of f/2.8, white balance set for flash, and vertical orientation of the camera. A minute or so after she settled into her chair, I whipped out the camera (which had been mostly hidden from view), aimed it at her, and pushed the shutter button.
I decided to upload this pretty much the way it came out of the camera, apart from cropping and minor adjustments in curves and contrast. While I don't claim this to be any kind of masterpiece, my only real complaint about it is that there is excessive light falloff in the distance. The store wasn't really as dark as it appears here; but then, if I had used a longer shutter speed, Vanessa herself might have been overexposed, and she, after all, was my subject. I did manage to make the light immediately around her nearly perfect, and without some kind of secondary light source, I couldn't have done much about the background anyway. I wish I could have used a solid-color background, or perhaps a muslin one, just on the other side of where Vanessa was sitting. (I could create a new background in PSE, and might do that sometime, but I find that doing so is often more troublesome and time-consuming than it is really worth.)
On the other hand, perhaps I should have used a slower shutter speed and set the flash for rear-curtain sync, a feature I've never used before. I didn't think of that until the following morning, when I was working out on an exercise bike at the gym and alleviated the boredom by reading a book about exposure.
But its imperfections notwithstanding, I had a lot of fun planning and executing this little miniproject.
Part of a mini MACRO project done over weekend. Initially started for a macro shot for HPC competition and started clicking other elements. This shot is taken with 50mm prime lens and rest of the macro shots are taken with 50mm with extension tubes.
It has been long break using poor man's macro equipment. Thin focal plane is tough to manage. All shots are hand held and taken in natural light.
If you move cursor over the photo, you can see 6 notes and from there you can reach individual macro images.
