Compositionally Challenged Week 28 - High Key
I thought I would be creative, and float the cosmos on top of milk. It didn't take long before it started to sink, lol. : )
Color temp warmed up in post.
The last snow cow of 2021 from me, I promise. 😅There’s really something beautiful about cattle in snow. 🐮❄️

Milk Snakes are non venomous but they can pack a mean bite and draw blood! As first hand witnessed as a boy. These snakes can reach between 3-6 ft. long.
Interesting thing was this snake coiled up on me when in the grass and vibrated his tail just like a rattle snake! He struck at the stick I put near him!

Found this tableau at Meeting Creek, a little town in central Alberta, behind their main railroad museum building.
The Pantanal has one of the most beautiful night skies you will ever see... It's not easy to photograph, though. At night, you should not be alone, and it's always prudent to be close to a shelter since the jaguars are around. There's a lot of dust in the air and other natural factors you cannot control. The tree featured here is a Purple Trumpet Tree. Despite all that, it's a unique and spectacular moment that I share with you here. Wishing you a peaceful Travel Tuesday!

Animal Stories in Imagined Landscapes (Israel Pavilion)
Description: "The exhibition LAND. MILK. HONEY. examines the reciprocal relations between humans, animals, and the environment within the Israeli context. Our point of departure is the biblical imagery of milk and honey as a metaphor for plenitude, and its construction in practice as a Zionist project of modernisation. The exhibition focuses on five animals, domesticated and wild, each representing the multifaceted narrative of the introduction of modernity to the Levant. Through five case studies - cows, goats, honey bees, water buffaloes, and bats — we construct a spatial history of a place in five acts: Mechanisation; Territory; Cohabitation; Extinction; and Post-Human."

I have a love hate relationship with cars in my long exposure shots. Sometimes their headlights and presence is totally unwanted, and sometimes if I frame it right they can add just what the main subject needs.

I remember reading in my dad's PoW diaries about 'klim' and being rather puzzled by it until a friend had a lightbulb moment realising that 'klim' is just 'milk' spelt backwards.***
I guess it was dried milk in a tin for PoWs' consumption and also remember as a child seeing, in my mum's pantry, tins of National Dried Milk.
I found online: 'National Dried Milk was powdered full-cream milk that was roller-dried to a powder, then fortified with vitamin D. It was intended for feeding to children at a time of milk rationing.'
You can also now buy an empty National Dried Milk tin online for £26.....

Compositionally Challenged Holiday Buffet - Chef's Surprise! (Hygge) **cozy and comfortable**
These are Dulce de Leche Besito Cookies from Porto's Bakery that my brother baked and gifted to us. Delish!
Kids love it! First shot with my new camera Sony a6000 (ILCE-6000). Lens adapter Fotodiox pro EF/NEX in order to use this lens: Samyang 1.4/85mm AS IF UMC (CANON mount). 13mm extension tube. f/8.0. ISO 320. 1/160s.
Flash power adjustment: 1/128 in order to freeze the scene. Two Yongnuo Speedlites YN560 IV were used. Hard light. No colour fiter.
