This is 2007 Barbie My House Armoire Desk. I had been looking for this Armoire for a very long time now and I finaly found it at a garage sale last summer. Its just to bad it didnt come with any of the original accessories I added those.

Decided to go a different route for this month's cover since it was starting to get a bit dull with the previous six covers. I used my vintage Barbie Goes to College play set as a backdrop for the Movie Drive Through. Allan is cozying up with Midge is vintage Ken doll's roadster vehicle.

So I finally saved enough money to get the LITDH Midge (<3) that I was yearning for, for so long, and I also chanced upon a Made To Move Blue Top doll alongwith it, making it my first (and maybe only) Bambi sculpt doll!

To compliment them, I got a few superhero figures that I had wanted as well, namely Spiderman, Armored Batman, The Incredible Hulk and Thor!

IMPORTANT NOTES:There were versions of Midge sold without the magnetic stomach.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I never had any regrets about getting the AA Midge over the Caucasian one when I was a child. However I did always plan to buy the red haired doll eventually--I wanted the classic Midge (to use as a bad guy), and I knew I would get lots of use from her accessories. But that day never came when I was a kid. So once I got back into collecting dolls as an adult, in 2011, it was my mission to finish my Happy Family hoard. Caucasian Midge and Alan were at the top of the list. The doll on the left was one of the first Barbies I acquired as an adult. I found her at a huge outdoor flea market one day in 2011. She was only 50 cents because she was nude, and I got her alongside some of my oldest adult purchased Bratz dolls. She wasn't the best looking example of Midge, nor was she in prize winning condition. If you look closely, you can see that she has broken, missing thumbs. But I was proud to call her my own. And not long after, I found an original dress for her on my Cool Blue Barbie, at an indoor flea market. She'll always have a special place in my heart, regardless of her condition.

My girl in the middle was my dream red haired Midge. Firstly, she's in much better condition than my other girl, and secondly, she's much more attractive. Albeit, no red haired Midge could compete with Nefertiti's beauty (my AA gal)! I got her in 2013, in a freezer bag with Happy Family Ryan. Even though I had mated my other doll with her factory ensemble by that point, I was eager to get another Midge, and of course Ryan. She was wearing her pregnant belly still, which was a bonus. And I freaked out when I found her baby Nikki inside! She was such an amazing find, and I love her very dearly. All three of my Happy Family Midge doll shave a unique place in my heart, and that makes it so difficult to have a favorite (although Nefertiti does win).

I totally thought that my second Midge was the belle of the ball. That was until doll number three joined the family in October 2025. The lady on the far right is from the "Barbie Blast Lot" we procured at the local flea market. I didn't "need" her, but I'm always excited to to add another Happy Family doll in my collection. Heaven knows they are super expensive to get online. Anyways, this lady had her dress in the same lot (though I did have a spare for her at home had she needed one). She is SO very attractive, and her face paint is in way better condition than my other two gals'. Plus, the skin coloring on her face hasn't yellowed with age. She has a healthy looking glow about her.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: The moment I found this white, polka dot skirt pictured here in the "Fountain Mermaid Barbie lot," I knew that it must belong to the Wedding Day Midge from the same bin. Barbie's pink polka dot outfit is very similar, which is what gave the identity of this particular skirt away. I did not know however that Wedding Day Midge came with interchangeable jackets! The purple polka dot jacket looked achingly familiar to me, and ironically, I questioned if it was one of the separately sold Wedding Day Midge fashion packs. To my greatest delight and surprise, I discovered that it in fact belonged to my doll!!! I think it is super cool that Mattel made a wedding themed line so versatile. Midge could wear her outfit pieces in a variety of different ways. I like that she could transform from a traditional looking bride, into a sophisticated lady. I'm so very grateful that I was able to not only identify these outfit pieces, but that I was able to obtain them in the first place, as I think they look wonderful on my second Wedding Day Midge!!!
