The inauguration of the Microsoft Innovation Center at European University Cyprus on Tuesday evening was described by government and private sector representatives as a landmark moment for innovation, technology and entrepreneurship in Cyprus. The Center was inaugurated by the Minister of Transport, Communication and Works Marios Demetriades in a ceremony attended by the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy, the Minister of Defence, the president of Microsoft for Central and Eastern Europe Dan Grantham, members of the House of Representatives, academics, diplomats and leaders of the local business community.
Ruth has been involved in a number of community projects in Microsoft Ireland but most notable is how Ruth has particularly championed Community Affairs activities amongst all of the employees in Microsoft.
Ruth has partnered with many NGO organisations to understand their needs and to see how Microsoft can help them to realise their full potential. Her passion and energy is such that it encourages many other colleagues to get involved.
Ruth has been a very active member of the Microsoft Ireland Community Affairs Committee, giving up much of her personal time to ensure the company was executing on activities that were ultimately helping others to realise something that might not have been possible without Microsoft’s involvement.
Through Ruth’s involvement on the committee, Microsoft have made new relationships with a number of organisations as well as continuing to build on existing ones.
These activities have not only been rewarding for the organisations that the company have partnered with but also for each of the engaged employees as well.

La interfaz es limpia, sólo aparece el renglón de búsqueda en la página y ofrece la opción de búsqueda en la web, en páginas de sólo español y en sites de América Latina. En cuanto a búsqueda universal tiene tres opciones: web, imágenes y noticias, pero no ofrece por loe momentos resultados mixtos como lo hace Google.
Por la diferencia en lo que vemos en esta versión latinoamericana respecto a la presentación que hizo Microsoft la semana pasada, vamos a averiguar mas si hay una estrategia de lanzamiento regional y por países, como la que se ejecutó con Msn. Volveremos sobre el tema.
