I used two layers of insulbrite (not what the pattern recommends) and it was really challenging to sew through that many layers! These didn't turn out quite as well as I would have liked--probably because I didn't use a walking foot (broken). The pattern is very good!
The three grocery bags I did get finished. I only had half yard cuts of the interior fabrics so I used the exterior fabrics for both handle parts.

IKEA fabric

I have had this fabric for a few years, and I am now getting down to the last bit so am making smaller bags.
This has large covered buttons on both sides and a zipper repurposed from a cosmetic bag. Pink fabric for the lining. To match this bag.
