The Urban Belonging Project innovates methods for citizen engagement that foreground diverse and marginalized experiences in planning. The project invited participants who identify as lgbt+, deaf, homeless, internationals, ethnic minorities, mentally vulnerable, and/or physically disabled to document their experiences of belonging in Copenhagen using participatory GIS and a new open source photovoice app, developed for the project.

» Study philosophy from the classical treatises of Yoga (Bhagavad Gita, Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Hathayoga Pradipika, Gheranda Samhita, and the Upanishads).
» Introduction to Ayurveda and Marma Points.
» Design and teach a 90-minute asana class to your peers which incorporates these components.
» Plan and teach a 30-minute presentation to your peers regarding yoga-related topics (i.e., Yoga Nidra, Ayurveda, yogic diet, anatomy, physiology, chakras, philosophy, mudras, Mantra Chanting & Keertan, etc.)
»To provide a comprehensive understanding of yoga philosophy, including the history, theory, and concepts of yoga.
To teach students the techniques and principles of Hatha and Ashtanga yoga, including asanas, pranayama, meditation, and relaxation techniques.
»To provide knowledge of human anatomy and physiology as it pertains to yoga practice, including common injuries and how to avoid them.
»To teach students the principles of alignment and adjustment, including how to modify yoga poses to meet the individual needs of students.
»To provide training in teaching methodology, including sequencing, class planning, and teaching techniques.
»To teach students the importance of ethical behavior and professionalism in the field of yoga teaching.
»To provide training in Ayurveda, including the principles of Ayurvedic medicine and how it relates to yoga practice.
»To provide a safe and supportive learning environment for students to deepen their own yoga practice and gain confidence in teaching others.
»To prepare students to become certified yoga teachers through the Yoga Alliance, enabling them to teach yoga worldwide.
»To make you a proficient and confident yoga teacher, under the guidelines of Yoga Alliance, USA.

Methodology Day Picnic: Spring, Sports, and Nature was organized by Osh Forum English Language Teachers Association (OFELTA), including Andrew Shannon, English Language Fellow and Mukadas Tashieva, OFELTA Coordinator. This event integrated school and university teachers of English for a professional day of methodology training, language practice, and sports activities. In the morning, participants discussed sustainability in education and the environment using communicative teaching methodology. They learned about digital activities to use in the classroom and the process of classroom observation.
