Another area I explored in the Research Methodology unit was gambling. It followed on from my interest and research into lucky numbers but with this particular area I was approaching a more negatively viewed subject matter. I wanted the outcome to reflect a darker tone and so research and experiments began. I looked at news articles, generated thumbnail ideas, looked into artists and experimented with materials evaluating which would achieve effective results. My mixed media final outcome (top right and bottom left) I felt successfully achieved my aims and created something dark and gruesome to reflect the negative effects of gambling.

I started to take action with my 2D research project and painting my 12x12 canvas a baby blue color. I decided on this color because I believe it to be very calming and peaceful. I was thinking that the background of my painting should have this sort of mood to it, however, the brushstrokes and lines that resemble jealousy will be a disturbance to this peacefulness. This represents how envy can take over a situation and turn something that was once alright into something dark. I also researched some kinds of lines or brushstrokes that would work well in conveying jealousy for some inspiration. These are just a few images that appeared when looking up brushstroke styles.

An emerging treatment methodology in OCD treatment is called the inhibitory learning model. The methodology functions by maximizing the extinction of fear by using ERP to learn new safety information. OCD sufferers will tell you that they have obsessions that lead to fears. For example, a mother may fear harming her child. She has consistent compulsive thoughts about this yet she never acts on it. This is because in OCD, the sufferer does not want to perform the obsession, it is truly nothing more than a thought. The goal of ERP is therefore to learn safety in a way that permanently inhibits obsessional fear.

For our most recent project we looked at Methodology, how we research and finding new ways to collect research. We had to chose an animal to base our research on and I selected the Lion.

Left: This is a digital painting of a 'mechanical' lion as I looked at 'mechanical animal' sculptures and drawings as part of this project.

Right: I used a pot of ink and a metal scraper to produce this drawing, I relly liked the texture creature by the ink.

Face lift is a surgical methodology that aims to lift and fix the skin of the face to achieve a more young appearance. Skin laxity caused by age is established in collagen and elastin consumption, however while some stylish treatments look to enhance the creation of these proteins, this surgical method physically fixes the skin to deliver longer-lasting outcomes. Be that as it may, is this methodology appropriate for you?

Who Is a Good Candidate for a FaceLift?

In general, in the event that you have extreme kinks and skin laxity, there's a good chance that you are a good candidate for this method. Candidates should attend a consultation appointment to decide whether their skin condition is appropriate for this technique or then again if different treatments are better for their appearance goals. Patients who are thinking about this methodology typically have concerns, for example,

- Sagging or loose skin

- Moderate to severe wrinkles

- Sagging jowls

- Sunken cheeks

- Double chin

- Poor jawline definition

Because this is a surgical method that will require the utilization of invasive strategies and general anesthesia, you should be completely qualified as a candidate before your treatment is booked. For a few, this may mean that certain labs and exams should be performed before your strategy is planned.

Second day of Methodological Transfer Training by Procasur in Kaolack , Senegal.

From 24 to 28 November 2025, the students of the Master in Fine Arts took part in an intensive masterclass led by artist Alejandro Chellet.

For five days, the masterclass “Eating the Empire: Performance, Food, and Ecologies of Waste” guided the Master in Fine Arts students through a theoretical, performative, and critical exploration of the relationship between food systems, ecology, consumption, and global capitalism. Through the language of performance art, the workshop offered an opportunity to reflect on how seemingly everyday gestures—eating, sharing, discarding—are deeply political acts shaped by historical dynamics of extraction, accumulation, and inequality.

A critical perspective between art, ecology, and politics

The masterclass positioned performance as an aesthetic strategy, a critical methodology, and an Art/Life ritual of unlearning through which students could reconsider their embodied participation in the systems that shape contemporary life. Concepts such as radical hospitality, artivism, and ecological care guided analytical and experimental work, encouraging students to question dualities such as scarcity/abundance, inclusion/exclusion, host/guest.

Special attention was given to the ways in which performance can challenge contemporary phenomena such as gentrification, countrification, and capitalist overconsumption, generating alternative imaginaries grounded in interdependence and ecological responsibility.

A five-day programme of theory, practice, and observation

The masterclass unfolded through a series of integrated activities designed to expand critical and performative skills:

❯ Theoretical seminars featuring presentations of artists and historical examples, followed by group discussions.

Critical writing exercises to help students articulate personal reflections on the themes addressed.

❯ Physical and performative practices, both individual and collective, to explore group dynamics and bodily engagement.

Public space outings dedicated to observing the urban environment and collecting discarded materials.

❯ A visit to a local restaurant to analyse its social codes, rituals, and relational dynamics.

❯ A hands-on workshop focused on creating costumes and performative objects using repurposed materials, with insights into dramaturgy and score-making.

❯ Performative sharings carried out individually or in groups.

❯ A final critique and feedback session reflecting on the processes and outcomes of the week.

A transformative experience

The masterclass became an intense space of research where art, ecology, and political imagination intertwined in the development of new performative practices. Through the encounter with Alejandro Chellet, students were able to experiment with alternative ways of thinking and acting, challenging established structures and opening pathways toward more conscious, critical, and sustainable perspectives.

How Agile Methodology Can Help Improve Customer Relationship ManagementAgile methodology is a project management approach that focuses on delivering customer value through iterative and incremental development. It is based on the principles of collaboration, customer feedback, and continuous improvement. As such, it can be a powerful tool for improving customer relationship management (CRM).

CRM is a process that involves managing customer interactions and relationships in order to increase customer loyalty and satisfaction. It is a key component of any successful business, as it helps to build trust and loyalty between the company and its customers.

Agile methodology can help to improve CRM by providing a framework for customer feedback and collaboration. By using an iterative approach, companies can quickly identify customer needs and respond to them in a timely manner. This allows companies to quickly address customer issues and provide solutions that meet their needs.

In addition, agile methodology encourages collaboration between the customer and the company. This helps to build trust and loyalty between the two parties, as customers feel that their feedback is being taken seriously and that their needs are being addressed. This can lead to increased customer satisfaction and loyalty, which can result in increased sales and revenue.

Finally, agile methodology encourages continuous improvement.

2019 Resident Kalun Leung is developing a methodology for movement-based electroacoustic improvisation for the MuBone Augmented Trombone. The Mubone is a new, proprietary hybrid instrument created by Kalun outfitted with orientation sensors, tactile controls, and integrated loudspeakers. The Max patch environment 3D Granular Synthesis (3DGS) works in tandem with the MuBone, tracking any movements via an instrument-mounted sensor and enables the performer to control live processing.

Kalun Leung is a trombonist, improvisor, composer and creative technologist based in Brooklyn, New York. His work as an instrumentalist is motivated by the exploration of new and unexpected contexts in which the trombone can thrive. This ongoing research-based approach has manifested in audiovisual performances of Keith Haring’s unpublished computer art and a Fluxusinspired trombone sound sculpture. He is a member of the movement and sound improvisation collective ECHOensemble, Eco-Music Big Band, and has a solo project involving electroacoustic improvisation.

Rio de Janeiro is undergoing the challenging task of recuperating and revitalizing it's central area. Betting that the articulation between requalified public space and mobility at its small scale - pedestrians and bicycle lanes - has a fundamental role on the construction of a more sustainable and humane city, Studio-X Rio, ITDP Brasil and Transporte Ativo have initiated (since July of 2012) a mapping study on the demands of a cycle path network for Rio's downtown area.

The project Ciclo Rotas has as its compass the attribute of participation. How can citizens participate? What can they offer in the process? How to engage with methodologies that are broad, democratic and transparent? Which platforms can be used to facilitate participation? The debate on the 13th of August has as it's objective to discuss proposals for participation so that these processes may indeed be effective.

Why do certain numbers have such superstitious beliefs? 666 and it's satanic associations was my next topic for research in this project. I looked into the history and theories of the popular superstition then generated ideas and chose images/people I felt could represent this. One of my outcomes was required to be 3D so I chose black wire as the predominant material for this satanically themed sculpture. It gives a harsh and eerie quality to my contemporary portrayal of the biblical seven headed beast. The iconic people I chose to illustrate for the heads represent the 666 associations, whether with satire- Dave Grohl who played the Tenacious D Devil, pop culture references- Damien from 'The Omen', or more serious representations- Charles Manson, infamous serial killer.

English Fellow Richard Silberg’s Methodology students at the Regional Teacher Training Center in Kampong Cham, Cambodia, collaborated on creating a poster to be displayed at the CAMTESOL conference. The topic: Structured Language Practice Routines that can be used in a classroom to increase student interaction and development of Academic English. In addition students participated in the poster session itself, teaching interested teachers about these strategies.
