This will be the last photo of Clevedon Pier from my trip the other day, I shot this one from the jetty looking across at the pier, at that time the sun was way too high and bright, so this was me having a play whilst waiting for the sun to drop, however I kinda liked it.

I was also testing out a new mini tripod (Leofoto Ranger ls-223c) which I’m hoping I can use instead of my main tripod when I take the dog out on a walk in the forest, so far, I’m happy with it but I think I’ll need a better ball head. Having said that I did have to go back to the car to get my main tripod for the rest of the shots of the pier as I didn’t fancy sitting in the mud.

photobombing @ countryside

I've never done light painting before and decided to have a practice whilst walking the dogs this morning. SQL volunteered to help me and I know it's not very good but it made me laugh, so I thought it might make you smile - HSoS!

trippy tiny house, same gimmick as in previous picture

I had a bouquet of flowers I picked up at the store after Valentine's Day. They bring a bit of cheer to the house that reminds me why I put up with the dull part of winter...

get excited about spring!

Ran out of pictures to post so i thought i'd try a bit of experimenting, this is my first attempt at a collage some of my fav shots from 2010 :)

I was having a bit of a rummage around in my hard drive, well not me personally, as Horace was is in there, he tends to hog (oh dear) all the space, but electronically so to speak where I found a couple of wave shots.

🐷🙈

This is the type of shot which I call ‘messing around’, (stop it I know what you are thinking) it’s just nice sometimes having a go at something which for me is different, I had no idea that photographing a simple wave could be a bit tricky. So here you are, I may at some point upload the other breaker.

I will leave you with this thought, where would you find an elephant, the same place as you lost it.🐘😱🐘

Thank you so much for viewing my photos, I get so much pleasure taking them.

Your comments and banter are very much appreciated, take care.

enlightments @ night

So I thought after all the hard work and studies for the stars and the partial eclipse,....

I'd stay inside while outside broiled and have some fun with a geranium photo.

Moss spores in my garden today. Webster Groves, Missouri.

I am a marble collector...

I have an extensive collection which unfortunately most now have marks or chips as I have always let my grandson play with them. I find them mesmerising and decided to have a go at creating my own and set to work yesterday to create my own 'magic' marble. So there is jiggery pokery galore here...

The MOST annoying thing is this was the second and although a great improvement on the first I did do a third and after quite a lot of work believed I had 'saved' it as a psd.... Where it went I will probably never find out so here is my second attempt.....

Incidentally I didn’t use a marble at all in the making of this image

I have to say, Charlie puts up with a lot from me. I wrapped this garland with fake leaves around his neck when we hiked out the other day to take some Still Life in the woods.

I was hoping to get a nice Fall Themed Shot.

Charlie with his underbite and funny expression was just too charming to pass up.

I'm putting this on a card and sending it to some of Charlie's fans in Missouri. Two young boys that adore him.

They need some cheering up as the family is under Quarantine.

We went out this evening trying for sunsets. Didn't quite catch it in time. So while Phill watches Porto v Liverpool I have been playing:-))

Learning to sail, RS Zest,

Beginning in the 1800s, Ambleside was the main commercial centre of the community of West Vancouver. In 1886, "Navvy" Jack Thomas initiated the first ferry service between Vancouver and West Vancouver via the Ambleside waterfront, which lasted only one year. The next year, Thomas began hauling gravel, keeping his sloop in a lagoon then known as Ambleside Slough.

In 1907, a land developer named John Lawson developed a new regular ferry service from 17th Street as a means to make selling land in Ambleside a more attractive proposition. This ferry service resulted in much development in Ambleside as well as the neighbouring Dundarave and Hollyburn neighbourhoods. The last ferry crossing from Ambleside was in 1947, after which the pier was repurposed into an area for fishing purposes.

By 1914, most of the new businesses in the Ambleside region were built on stilts so as to avoid the swampy water of the area. Ambleside Park was designated in 1918, and by 1964, the slough had been mostly filled in with sand to become Ambleside Beach.

I decided to sit on the porch and watch the front come in to see if there would be a light show.

I thought it would be fun to try the IR filter with the darkening skies. I was glad I did.

She has a habit of closing her eyes at just the wrong moment! When I asked her to open her eyes this is what she gave me! Like her bracelet says "Never give up"

I wish I would have took my time on this. when its big you can see some pretty sloppy work. Maybe some day I'll re-do it.

So busy trying to keep up with spring but every once in a while, I just have to stop and do something that makes me smile.

I'm messing around in cracked pots and all that's fun ;))

Please don't eat the Magic Mushrooms! There are very dangerous! :)

The last days we had off together had the bears all over the place. It was really hard to keep up with them.

I did get some funny shots though.

Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday

Klungelen en naar de radio luisteren / Fumble and listen to the radio

just messing around with louise.. in the curtains, as you do.

i might just hate all the photos we took that day, i'm unsure.

Haven’t uploaded anything in a while. Bit of creativity was needed, so here it is…

I grabbed this shot in the garden the other day while waiting for the 'kids' to come back from shopping with their parents.

I really loved it in color but thought it might turn out more delicate looking this way.

Test shot of the 590nm filter on my converted Olympus camera.

Interesting results and not all results are consistent with the light as it changes how white is reflected as well as other colors.

A channel swap of this shot brought out some reddish foliage so I enhanced it a bit.

So this is how boring fall would be if all trees turned red?

still horsing around.....

My daughter on world book day as 'Worst Witch' flying in a galaxy far away. I've had no internet for nearly 3 week so I've been playing around with photoshop and created this from scratch.

Why not, thought I'd try something different and experiment a bit. I'm sure there are a billion photos of the same thing, so I'm not really contributing anything dramatically new here. Thought I'd do some crazy long exposure ND filter shots, bracket them and HDR it all. A little surreal the outcome.

Some experimenting with ND filters, bracketing and HDR, all of which I rarely ever do. Felt like trying something a bit different today. :)
