The evaporation of seawater after a cold night is a spectacular event, but quite difficult to capture. Unfortunately, this phase of winter passed by far too quickly this time. The cold weather continued for so long that the entire Gulf of Finland froze over very quickly in front of Helsinki. Hopefully, next winter will have milder periods so that the freezing lasts longer, as has been the case in recent years.
The last time such a long cold period occurred was over ten years ago.
Captured in the Uuutela nature reserve in Helsinki in early January (A7C0193-2e).

It’s not often to get these kind of epic skies but when it happens it’s just pure joy that you feel that you happened to be at the right place at the right time.
She was travelling from Lavalleja to Plácido Rosas, Uruguay, 500 km just to celebrate her people's old traditions and way of life!

Merialeth Windstar, played by CaireannLiadan, spellsinger and avariel of Tal En'anar. Meri is a roleplay character at Chronicles of Lynnea, a medi-fantasy, magick-punk sim that is rich in original lore and storyweaving creations. She is also a wonderful application handler behind the scenes.
