An adult Herring Gull seems to be shepherding this juvenile (first year of a four year maturation) in a quest for edibles over Lake Champlain. They are common here in the open-water seasons, perhaps not so much so as the ubiquitous Ring-billed Gull. Gulls fly beautifully, with purpose and verve, and especially when the wind is up expressing the freedom of flight in a way that one imagines brings them joy.
Processed in LR, PS with a touch of Topaz and home made texture.

A pair of instructor pilots from VMFAT-101 'Sharpshooters' departs NAF El Centro in a T-34C Turbo Mentor for a mission over the nearby ranges providing 'low safe' observation to student pilots learning to bomb and strafe in the F/A-18.
Aston University runs a successful peer mentoring scheme, which brings together students from different years groups.

A Beechcraft T-34 Mentor takes to the skies off of RWY 27 at Campbell Airport (C81). Never a dull moment at uncontrolled fields!
They had already stripped the K before the store closed! I do wonder if this is because I made off with the K's from the Brooklyn store when it closed!

One from June 2011 - DRS Class 37/6s 37601 "Class 37 - 'Fifty'" and 37610 "T.S. (Ted) Cassady" wait at Crewe with 1Q18, a Crewe-Crewe test train via the Manchester area with overhead line test coach "Mentor".
Two young men we encountered on the walk back to the canoes. The older one seemed to be pointing out things to the younger. Wish I could have understood their conversation.
