The city of Melbourne from the 88th floor of the Eureka Tower.
This was actually really hard to capture - the glass reflects quite badly and even with my black jacket over the camera, which was on the tripod resting against the glass, I still got the reflection of the lens on the double glazed window (thank you photoshop for fixing that for me!).
A beautiful, balmy Melbourne night. Perfect for some long exposure photos of the city taken from St Kilda Pier.
3 minute long exposure, taken from the entrance to Melbourne's "Marvel Stadium", looking over the Docklands precinct toward the Bolte Bridge.
As most Australians know, the city of Melbourne in Australia is notorious for it's changeable weather. On this particular day, we met for coffee early in the morning and the weather was quite pleasant. We decided to venture out and take some photos. By the time we arrived at our chosen location, we were greeted by a storm, a heavy rain shower, some lightning, basically the works. We sheltered under some cover for about half an hour and after the rain had stopped, I captured this storm cell passing over my hometown, Melbourne. As you can see, it was quite spectacular. After a couple of hours, Melbourne was true to it's reputation and the storm passed, the sky turned blue and we were treated to a warm, sunny afternoon. Off to another cafe for a coffee. I love Melbourne :-)
this is a different take from my last shot I got from this spot. More of a brighter, colourful image. thank for viewing.

This shot is a bit cliché. I think every photographer in Melbourne has taken it at some stage, but I wanted to put my spin on it.
