It's good to see that these meadows in the Alps seem to be still intact. In the lower regions you hardly ever see a meadow with a lot of different flowers, due to enormous production pressure which leads to 5-7 cuts per year, which doesn't help bio-diversity...
Meadow above Flims (rr. Flem), Grison, Switzerland.
This meadow fritillary blended in well with the stiff coreopsis flower it was feeding on as they are both brightly colored. I found a few meadow fritillaries laying eggs on violet leaves here on Ludwig Prairie today since their caterpillars will only eat those violet leaves.
Small Easter-tailed Blue butterfly taking nectar from a tiny field Daisy.
Common. Easy to overlook. This butterfly is about the size of your little fingernail.

A Swathe of wild Corn Flowers ,Poppies,Daisies & Marigolds add vibrant colour to the landscape in this farmers meadow, nestled between the rolling hills of Exmoor & the Quantocks in Somerset.
These butterflies emerged especially early this year in the lovely warm Spring weather. This one posed nicely on an Osteospermum for me.
God's unlimited creative craftsmanship leaves me constant awe! Half Dome towers thousands of feet above the valley floor and dwarfs many of the tall things that surround it. I still feel like I am living in these past moments and cannot help but sit in wonder feeling lost in a place of awe as my mind tries to wrap itself around things that are too far beyond me!
The humble Meadow Brown is an often overlooked species of butterfly. However when they show their orange forewing with the eye it's definitely worth taking the time to admire them.
Korth's Meadow - Iowa
On this very windy afternoon I hiked my favorite area, watching the big clouds roll over my head. It was about 38 degrees, winds gusting from the northwest over 40 mph, and amazing cloud drama!
I have taken many photos in this area over the years, but each season, time of day and weather provides another opportunity! :)
