Look closely. Doesn't it look like beach rock, something volcanic, craggy and ancient?
Everything in the world fascinates me.

Self-portrait - the same one I use for my buddy icon.
The day dawned clear and balmy at -15°F (-26°C), so naturally I had to head out to experience Alaska the way it was meant to be experienced. It had warmed to -10°F (-23°C) by the time I took this self-portrait. I got rid of most of the snotcicles in Photoshop.
Maybe I can submit this to the Furry Friday pool.
Ok i have posted 3 pics from my photo shoot that i said that i would post some pics from XXD so you better like them HAHAHAHAHAHA joking. Well this is the first one and the new pics of me are from the photo shoot. My hair is a mess in all of them so deal with it XD
I went for a rockstar look and i think i did ok :S
This little chipmunk was very eager to have a look at my backpack in Mount Rainier National Park.
I was very lucky to have this photo, since just a moment earlier I had changed my lens from 18-55mm to 55-250mm and started scouting for birds that circled close by. Suddenly, this little creature showed up right in front of me and my friend; it was over in a second or so, but nevertheless I managed to get two clear shots before it ran away.
Thanks for your comments!
Actor Robert Pattinson (L) and actress Emilie de Ravin attend the premiere of "Remember Me" at the Paris Theatre on March 1, 2010 in New York City.
Haha, I was smiling at that time! This was taken when I attended Christmas Dinner held by Ohio State University. See, a lot of international students were around me. It is my first time to attending Christmas Event with so many people.
I was trying to make it look like I was attempting to steal the ball from Coach Tuberville, but it looks more like I am trying to tell him "Take it, Take it!" Sigh...
When I cleaned out my cupboard the other day, I was ruthless about purging stuff that didn't fit anymore, except for this shirt. It's twice my size, it's stained and torn, ugly as all get out. But it's such a comfort shirt. A close friend gave it to me right after our house fire, and it's soft and baggy. It was one of the only things that actually fit, because I was at the heaviest weight I'd ever been. When I was dealing with so much going on, it was nice to have something that felt comforting. It still does, ten years later, so I think I'll still keep it.
an old pencil drawing.

inspired by.. guess who. and know your history ;-)
the original to be found in rome, vatican city, sisteen's chapel ceiling. go there, or if you don't want: take a look at this
I have been tagged by yannah, which means I have to say 10 things about myself. And those things have to be absolutely true.
So here we go:
1. Antje and I seperated almost four years ago
2. I sold my motorbike, because I hit a deer in France. My bike and I stayed unharmed, so I concluded: I had so much luck, I don't want to push it any further
3. Very soon (from november on) I will be living in Leiden. I am registered in Amsterdam since 1982 (although I lived in Berlin for 10 years), so this wil be a major change in my life.
4. Since Antje and Niels left, I feel lonely from time to time. On the other hand, surprisingly enough, life goes on and often even thrills me.
5. I tend to cry when sportspeople do exceptional things. I guess it's the dedication that touches me. That 100% thing...
6. I secretely dream of doing an exceptional thing myself.
7. I love the mountains and I am frustrated that I can't go there more often.
8. I am not a good friend and there are too many people who can confirm this. I guess it is essentially laziness which makes me such a lousy friend. I feel sorry for this.
9. I think I love Italian food best. I like it even better then Thai, Japanese or Chinese.
10. I hate conspiracy theories. I don't want to hear them, even when they're true.
So, that's it. Ofcourse I could have refused to do this, but the idea of writing about myself was too much of a temptation. I mean: what a beautiful excuse to use the word 'I' in every sentence!
Here are my nominations:

So I got an e-mail from my buddy Thom and he was wondering if he needed to file a missing persons report, as he hasn't seen my smiling face on Flickr in a while.
I have to say that this is my fav way to wear my hair lately. I think it works for me. And I definitely don't think I ever want to take the pink out of my hair. It adds a special touch.....LOL

My feet get cold pretty easily. I'm convinced I have poor circulation. I often wear slippers or socks around the house. These are my favorite Bass slippers. I know they are totally functional and far from cute but I love them. I think it is probably because I grew up wearing my parents super-broken-in Bass slippers of an earlier vintage. I guess the tradition carries on. I'm not even sure if this is why they had bass slippers but my mom went to school in Maine with a girl of the Bass family.
