“Four deserted Tower Blocks
Traces of a mythical tribe
A dark fable for our times…”
ESTATE is a dystopian model village experience featuring four abandoned concrete tower blocks at 1:24 scale (approx 2 metres high) housed in a 40ft shipping container.
The tower blocks each serve a different function in the ESTATE and contain amusing scenes of mass social, economic and environmental devastation.
Tower block 1 contains residential Live-Work-Die units .
Tower block 2 is a multi-storey high security children’s prison.
Tower block 3 is a high-rise care home for the old, the dying and the dead.
Tower block 4 seems to have been some kind of spiritual centre for neo-pagan misbehaviour.

El otro día paseando por el Parque del Retiro de Madrid, una familia de gorriones revoloteaban y se posaban en un arbolillo cerca del camino. Me permitieron acercarme lo suficiente para sacar un par de fotos claras. La que más me gusta es ésta, creo que es una pequeña gorriona.

RX57 MDZ is an Optare Solo M710SE new to Courtney of Bracknell in October 2007.
It joined the Ballantyne fleet in 2014 for their Bellshill-Motherwell local service. It has since passed to JMB Travel, Newmains in January 2022 when the Ballantyne business closed following retirement.
Am Nachmittag des 23. Juli 2021 wurden für die Fotoveranstaltung "Nach dem Traktionswandel im Ries" zwei mit V100 bespannte Züge von Wassertrüdingen nach Nördlingen geschickt.
V100 2100, die 1964 fabrikneu dem Bw Nördlingen zugeteilt worden war, beförderte den Fotogüterzug auf dem Teilstück der "Königlichen Ludwig Süd-Nord-Bahn" durch das Ries.
Die letzte Aufnahme des Zuges entstand auf dem kleinen Viadukt über die Mauch, dahinter spitzt der Kirchturm des Dorfes Pfäfflingen hervor.

A handful of DAFs with Paramount 3200 bodies were retained by Shearings after the 1984/5 mass disposals, these being ones based at Whitchurch, where they were used on local service work among other things.
450 would have had ample time to visit its Altrincham HQ during the match, but I suspect the Whitchurch staff didn't feel that well connected to events up here.
When it did leave Shearings at the end of 1986, it went over to Northern Ireland for the rest of its operational life, although a part-exchange saw it return to a mainland dealer, and end-of-life use as a spares donor with Copelands Tours at Meir in 2000.
