Sunday is my one day to treat myself to a delicious, flaky croissant. Where do I get my fresh croissant you ask?, well at McDonald's. They are baked on the premise as part of their McCafe lineup, and are truly amazing. Flaky, mealy, and buttery. A real treat!

Für viele ist es nicht nur ein Restaurant. Es ist für viel ein Lebensgefühl.

Obviously an 'entry level' vehicle, lol.
The Z06 'flagship' Corvette: a 5.5 litre naturally aspirated V8 engine.
Found today along Central Avenue at Thornleigh in northern Sydney.
Parked outside the entry to the Bunnings Home Hardware Store, and opposite McDonalds (where I had gone to get a coffee from McCafe).

In my humble opinion, here is my list of my top coffee chains.

5. Starbucks
Incidently, here is the rich list
Starbucks – $32.25 billion
JDE Peet’s Coffee – $9 billion
PNRA (Panera Bread) – $6 billion
Tchibo – $3.8 billion
Luigi Lavazza S.p.A. (Lavazza) – $2.7 billion

Welcome to to the beach, a haven for dog walkers and coffee drinkers. A special congratulations on picking up your dog mess, only to lob it into the dunes and leave it in a bag for the next hundred years. Shame on you........

McDonald's #13898 (3,293 square feet)
7099 George Washington Memorial Highway, Shoppes at Gloucester, Gloucester, VA
Opened in fall 1994, renovated in 2007
It was announced in July 2008 that both McDonald's and KFC are opening a restaurant (both featuring a Drive-Thru facility) in 2009 at the exit of the new Southern ring road of Zaandam. Like most of these projects there was a delay but McDonald's opened its doors in August 2010. When visiting this store (October 2010) KFC was still closed and about to open.
Behind the both restaurants there will be a parking lot and probably another brico-hypermarket. This area is still under reconstruction.
Strange enough this brand new store has no EasyOrder and/or McCafé.

This McDonald's restaurant opened last December in the completely renovated food court of the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. It occupies one of the corners of this food court and features a McCafé. The 'center island' behind the counter is hidden away by shutters for aesthetical reasons.

I am giving McDonald's coffee another try. I think I like it more this time. Iced coffee with cream and hazelnut syrup.

McDonald's Corporation is an American multinational fast food chain, founded in 1940 as a restaurant operated by Richard and Maurice McDonald, in San Bernardino, California, United States. They rechristened their business as a hamburger stand, and later turned the company into a franchise, with the Golden Arches logo being introduced in 1953 at a location in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1955, Ray Kroc, a businessman, joined the company as a franchise agent and proceeded to purchase the chain from the McDonald brothers. McDonald's had its previous headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois, but moved its global headquarters to Chicago in June 2018.
McDonald's is the world's largest restaurant chain by revenue, serving over 69 million customers daily in over 100 countries in more than 40,000 outlets as of 2021. McDonald's is best known for its hamburgers, cheeseburgers and french fries, although their menu also includes other items like chicken, fish, fruit, and salads. Their best-selling licensed item are their french fries, followed by the Big Mac. The McDonald's Corporation revenues come from the rent, royalties, and fees paid by the franchisees, as well as sales in company-operated restaurants. According to two reports published in 2018, McDonald's is the world's second-largest private employer with 1.7 million employees (behind Walmart with 2.3 million employees). As of 2022, McDonald's has the sixth-highest global brand valuation.
This night time view may look serene but it was actually taken during Storm Dudley. From 14 to 19 February 2022, a European windstorm struck the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, The Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Lithuania. The storm was named Storm Dudley by the UK Met Office on February 14, 2022. The storm caused 225,000 people to lose power, killed nine people, and spawned 24 tornadoes across Europe. The storm occurred just before the stronger and more impactful Storm Eunice, which caused over 3.1 million power outages, 17 fatalities, and over €1.83 billion in damage.
Storm Dudley, along with Storm Eunice and Storm Franklin, formed by a sting jet, a narrow band of winds that can create narrow and intense winds in a small area. It was also partly due to a large polar vortex in the Arctic that formed these storms. The storm trio isn't particularly rare for the area, as it has happened before. The storm also brought a very rare formation of mammatus clouds, and brought wind gusts of 130 km/h in Capel Cruig, Wales, 119 km/h in Yorkshire and 114 km/h in Drumalbin, Scotland.

This young Boyds Forest Dragon was the Third one of the species we had seen in 3 days, however tonight i was prepared enough to bring my camera along to get some photos of a resting dragon.
It's been awhile since we saw Officer Joe. He's still drinking a lot of coffee, issuing parking tickets to offenders and trying to catch the Jewel Thief... :D
I bought him a new cap, his old black cap was getting too loose for his head...
Yeh, it's only McDonald's golden arches but these ones come with an healthy side of history.
These are the restored original 1967 golden arches from the first Canadian McDonald’s location at 7120i No. 3 Road in Richmond. The arches are deemed “heritage” by Richmond City.
This McDonald's location was the first one opened outside of the USA. It opened for business here 01 June, 1967, and was rebuilt and re-opened 23 June, 2017, 50 years later.
The rebuild includes a commemorative plaque installed below the arches.
In June 1967, businessman George Tidball brought the McDonald’s chain to Canada after buying Western Canada rights from the American corporation for a $50,000 down payment.
Tidball got his inspiration while on a road trip to California, where he visited the McDonald’s headquarters.
Ray Kroc opened the Des Plaines, Illinois restaurant in 1955, and with the first Golden Arches, launched the legendary brand.
