Mavis had one of those thin faces that didn't make her terribly attractive. Like a middle aged female Chemistry teacher. Miss Dunn. Even if she had some Gotox it probably wouldn't help. I wouldn't say she looked scary but something in her withering stare made me back away from the bushes and desperately try to remember where Livermorium is in the Periodic Table.

Another interesting area both geologically and historically. We were on our way to Eashness and the volcanic seaside cliffs. This view is looking towards St Magnus Bay to the northeast.
"Mavis Grind is a narrow isthmus joining the Northmavine peninsula to the rest of the island of Mainland in the Shetland Islands, Scotland. It is just over 90 metres (295 ft) at its narrowest point."
Looking behind is the north sea and supposedly the Vikings discovered they could carry a ship across the narrow isthmus. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mavis_Grind.
The rainbow was perhaps a portent of our walk - it was interrupted by persistent rain. I am not as interested in getting very wet when out walking and needing to pack for a flight the next day.
