St. Matthews Church, Lightcliffe
Yet another of my often taken shots - the 1st of 2015
Brighouse - West Yorkshire
My little Panasonic LX-7 camera died shortly after taking this shot. Although it looks like a Banksy, the artwork in the window of the Surrey Street pumping station is "Princess Diana" by Rich Simmons.
Banksy did choose Croydon to open his one and only (as far as I am aware) retail outlet. I had gone to Croydon town centre to capture it.
Northbound on the Washy approaching Matthews Siding. Across the river is the tiny community of Windust, WA.
The sounds of a Summer night are interrupted briefly by a RS5T horn as CSX "Spirit of Law Enforcement" ES44AC-H 3194 heads through Matthews, NC with a combined F700/Q037. As always seems to be the case when something cool runs, various issues kept the train from departing Pinoca yard in Charlotte till well after midnight
This is a Long exposure version from the shot i posted yesterday, I like the clouds in this one but prefer the water movement of the other one. What do you think?
Shot with Nikon D750 with 24-70 mm f/2.8
176.0 sec| f/11 | ISO100 at 24 mm

There can't be many Setra S250s still earning their keep but Matthews Travel, Essex, have owned M2 TVL for eighteen years now and it still looked splendid when seen in Brighton this afternoon, 23rd August, 2025. It was new to Mackay, Edinburgh, as R772 KSX but surely this can't still be its original paintwork?
St. Matthews Church is a partially submerged church on Rutland Water. A great place to visit. This was taken on a stormy day. This is an HDR image composed of a stack of 5 images.
