The Black Mastif is Rosa, the other one (Lara) you will meet in more detail in the next photo :) Rosa is a pure blood Cane Corso (If I remember well)... My friend looooves dogs (so much that sometimes I think he's a bit confuse in deciding if he's a man or a dog :P - I hope he won't read this :P ) so he wanted a nice pure blood dog which would also be a good guard dog for his house, so, he got this one! She's adorable, but only when my friend is around... All the other times she's a bit scary! Especially of you try to go anywhere near the house... I guess Lara wasn't good enough for the job :P (My friend told me once, if burglers would go into the house, Lara would even help them to carry the things into their car :P )! Rosa is very funny too but a bit disgusting sometimes with all this saliva dripping from her mouth (on someones clothes usually !!!) :P
If I am not mistaken, this giant dog is a German Mastiff aka Great Dane, weighing 50+ kg. Life span is a short 8 years.

Got to hang out with my buddy Nero again this weekend and couldnt help but take more pics of this awesome dog. I wasnt going to put any up, but I was messing around with some different things on Lightroom with this one and actually loved how this came out. Im not a big fan anymore of HDR stuff, and this isnt HDR, but it almost has a slight feel like that to it...but still a very natural look as well. Let me know what you think Flickr folks.

He is Scott's parents family dog.
He is a mix between a Mastif and a golden retriever. He is so sweet
Savannah Sacrum. One year old Cane Corso. We walked together today.. Weather was " wonderful " again..
Damian has raised Gus from a puppy. He is a "filas brasiliero" which is a South American breed originally bred from a mastif and a bloodhound. He's a gentle giant. He goes to work every day with Damian who is a carpenter on Martha's Vineyard when not at home in VT.

Who would have thought you would have seen a 1960's Austin hauling containers in 2016 !!. Not me. But I was rapt to see this.
Not sure if it is a Mastif and I'd appreciate any further info on this, incl the likely year of build.
MASTIF - Multiple Axis Space Test Inertia Facility - was developed for Project Mercury to train astronauts in gaining control over a spacecraft that could move in multiple directions at once--pitching, rolling and yawing all at the same time. MASTIF was also known as the Gimbal Rig and is shown here in Altitude Wind Tunnel (AWT) at Lewis Research Center, now John H. Glenn Research Center at Lewis Field.
