Enjoy Cherishville
This particular image took me 1.5 hours to complete. It was very tedious to do. I made the shot mono and then with a layer mask revealed certain spools of thread. I am very pleased with the outcome and hope you like this image.
Happy Slider Sunday
I was so excited to stroll through the yard and see flowers starting to bloom! Spring is finally showing up! I brought a couple of sprigs in to enjoy inside as it is still cold out.
I have been very busy lately... doing some painting in the house.. this week our granddaughter is here so we are enjoying her visit.
Wishing everyone a good week. Thanks so much for your visits,,
...our cosmos garden continues to grow tall and bloom. The stalks are as big around as my thumb! The goldfinches hang on and eat the dying blooms and the bees are still buzzing about.
I'm working too much so am behind...see you tonight!
Kicking off a 10-day stay--cation with my guy. On our way home from work we stopped at the Country Farm. They had rows and rows of flowers where brides come and pick for their wedding. Since next week is our 30-year wedding anniversary, we took time to harvest several bouquets.
Thank you so much for your visits! Have a lovely day:)

Macro Mondays - Glass
As I worked on these shots things got better and ideas were flowing. It was the last shot I took, which was an after thought. I had just shut the A100 down when I walked past a mason jar I had and thought, why not that?
Voila.
Happy Macro Mondays

This is a section of a purple glass Mason jar, sidelit with a warm light. The jar is completely made of purple glass but the light has given some bright highlights on the side of the raised lettering.
The jars are used to preserve homemade jellies, jams, fruit, etc.
This jar is clear glass with the words stamped into the glass. I shot my photo through the jar in the foreground, with a stained glass lampshade as background.
photo size: 3" w by 2" h
Theme: "Words on Glass"
Thank you for taking the time to view my photo, and for the faves and comments you make, thank you.
Pokey is the light of my life, but I got the idea for this photo the other night while sitting outside. I saw only 1 or 2 fireflies. When I was a child there would be 100's of fireflies lighting up our yard and we could easily fill up a jar with them. It's easy to notice the disappearance of the fireflies because of their glowing lights, but what about all the bugs that don't have lights/that we don't easily see? They must be disappearing too. Makes me sad.
A group of bottles and jars reflected on the side of the orb. So I am getting the photo from the side of the orb this is why it has the fisheye effect on the bottles, also some of the grit that settled on the orb walls showed up and he scratch on the orb over the red bottle.

Crazy Tuesday: Fill your frame with something blue
A blue paper heart inside a vintage blue tinted mason jar sitting on a blue paper background. 💙
Thank you for your visit! Happy Crazy Tuesday!
In the kitchen of the Mellon Farmhouse at Fort Edmonton Park. Seen in 115 pictures in 2015 #59 - Circles
Low angled sun shining through these mason jars stuck to the top of some A-frame signs advertising food and drink.
So the blur part is the Mason jar, the focus is on the marbles,

"Life would be so sad and boring if there were never any wonderful and sometimes painful and difficult opportunities for growth.
It is in the growing and the changing and the stretching and the soul exercise that the biggest joys come.
So keep your head up...keep sweatin' through the soul lunges.
You are spectacularly fit for the challenge...you really are. You can do this."

The ultimate snow globe... for the Sliders Sunday group. Base image created using Bing Image Creator with serious help from Photoshop and Redfield Filters.
I recently watched an old "Outer Limits" episode from 1964 called "A Feasibility Study" it along with a few minutes playing with one of my snow globes gave me the idea for this image.
Found these fun mini mason jars at an Estate Sale. Bottom measures a little over 2". Bottoms Up - HMM!!
Thank you for your views, faves, and comments!! Have an awesome day!! :)
I found this week's theme fun except for the part when I dropped a large quantity of that powdered spice in the foreground onto the pale beige carpeting in my bedroom. That room has the best natural light so I tend to do macro and other still life shots in there.
I didn't identify the spilled spice for a reason. There are eight spices/seasonings in this shot. See if you can spot them all. ;-) I will give you one -- dill -- because it is pretty much hidden in a mason jar at the back.
