Jatayu Earth's Center, Kerala India.
According to the epic Ramayana, King Rama of India is married to Sita. Ravana who was King Of Sri Lanka abducted Sita to Lanka when Jatayu the name of this fallen bird tried to rescue her. Jatayu fought valiantly with Ravana, but as Jatayu was very old Ravana soon defeated him, clipping his wings, and Jatayu fell onto the rocks on this mountain. Rama and his brother Lakshmana while on the search for Sita, chanced upon the stricken and dying Jatayu, who informed them of the battle with Ravana and told them that Ravana had headed South.
It is built 1200 ft above sea level on top of the same mountain.

The land on which the property is built was acquired by Joseph Cawthra in 1809. The farmland, which came to be known as the Grove Farm, was granted to Agar Adamson and Mabel Cawthra as a wedding gift.
Agar Adamson, born on Christmas Day 1865, was the grandson of William Agar Adamson an influential Toronto clergyman. He married into the Cawthra family whose legacy in Peel lives on through the Cawthra Estate located near the intersection of the Cawthra Road and the Queen Elizabeth Way. Their legacy comes from supplying eastern white pine logs for ship masts in the British Royal Navy. by Sandra Gwyn. He served under General Arthur Currie. Insights into his time at war may be seen in the CBC series The Great War which features Talbot Papineau, another of the four Canadians featured in the book.
Agar Adamson designed and built the Belgian-style mansion on this land in 1919, after returning from the wartime service in France. In 1943, his son Anthony Adamson added a home for himself on the property. The estate was acquired by the Credit Valley Conservation Authority in 1975.

This male euphonia was found at the Jerusalem Dry Reserve, Quito, Ecuador.
Mistletoes and Golden-rumped Euphonia seem to be married in an unbreakable bond. The parasitic mistletoes are a preferred food source for this colorful euphonia which disperses its seeds on top of tree branches that will later be parasitized. Widely but disjunctly distributed in South America it is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyan, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela.
Euphonias are members of the genus Euphonia, a group of 27 species in the finch family, Fringillidae. They were formerly placed in the Tanager family, Thraupidae.

While taking one our kids up to the wedding of the sister of one of their best friends getting married deep in the sticks or boonies in a small town near the Canadian border my wife and I had a scant day with marginal very cloudy weather to look around before we had to run our kid back home so they could be back to work on Monday. For those of you who aren't familiar northern New Hampshire at this time of year the woodlands are just starting to bud leaves and at some local peaks the night before had a foot and half of snow and the nearby access roads to local peaks and lift rides won't open up before Memorial Day Weekend. Nevertheless we manage to look around a decent bit with the very limited time we had with this river shot being one of the places we managed to find.
At least, this is what many couples do, including tourists. The Agioi Anargyri chapel at the southeastern end of Cyprus (in the background are the outskirts of Protaras, one of the great tourist areas) has its considerable attraction as its location turns the wedding ceremony beyond the spiritual and social realm into a grand union with nature. When I first got married it was so exciting to go the mailbox to get my mail. In fact, I would enter contests, send for coupons, order magazines anything just to fill my mailbox. Nowadays other than junk mail, my mailbox doesn't thrill me like it once did. Most of my bills are sent electronically and there is hardly any correspondence sent through the mail. Trying to be more environmentally aware last year I opted to skip mailed holiday greetings. I do miss the days of picking out special stationery and hand- writing letters to family and friends.
Everything in our society feels so urgent, we don't seem to want to wait for anything anymore. Do you remember mailing away your film and how exciting it was to get your photos back in the mail? I wouldn't want to go back to that but I think we need to learn about waiting and being excited again. Anticipating something is almost better than getting it.
Today is the first day I had a complete photoshoot fail. I shot for about 30 minutes in the best light popped my memory card in the computer, heart sank, no images! Sadly I also took some family photos yesterday that didn't get recorded. I tried again but couldn't get my snails to participate and take direction like they did earlier. Boo!
Today is my son's wedding day and it is going to be at my house!! Time to go make final preparations and get ready to celebrate. Have a wonderful day!

2021 was such a wild ride for me! I was reborn in SL, found new interests, new friends, fell in love, and got married. I really hit my stride- only 13 years late!

In 1968, the first Christmas of our married life, we bought this set of wooden ornaments. I spent some time painting them and they were the first ornaments on our first tree as a married couple. Today they are still much loved and still the first ornaments to go on the tree.

Thursday I started a new career as a wedding photographer when my sister and my new brother in law married in the lighthouse of Blavand. my parents were married 61 years. I loved watching them grow more peaceful and loving through the years. My mom died first - two years ago. Dad missed her a lot, but continued to enjoy his life til he died in June of this year. I grieve and I celebrate.

Back in October of 1983, EPCOT Center was just completing its first year of operation and everything still seemed brand new. Horizons had just opened the day before and Walter Cronkite was hosting the Time Machines through Spaceship Earth. You made World Showcase dining reservations at a WorldKey kiosk talking and seeing a reservationists on a TV screen. Figment and Dreamfinder sang their way into our hearts and we marveled at the huge screen showing a space shuttle launch in the World of Motion. It was the future world that could be…and was in 1983.
On Monday, October 1st, 2012 while Epcot celebrates 30 years, my wife and I will be starting our 30th year together riding the first ride we rode together at Walt Disney World…Spaceship Earth.
