Got this lovely bass out of its case for the first time in a while to do a little practice in advance of a carol service I'm playing in in the near future. Sounds great through my new Markbass practice amp too ...
I borrowed these Mark Bass cabinets and amplifier from Hljóðfærahúsið to test them out and took them with me when Menn Ársins recorded "If You Were Here ". I don't know if the amp signal was used in the final mix.

Röhren-Bassvorstufe von MarkBass als Bodengerät. Einstellungsmöglichkeiten wie die Golden Vintage Amp-Serie mit zusätzlichen Möglichkeiten der Röhrensättigung mit zwei verschiedenen Zerrsouds, einem Boost-Schalter, optischem und SPDIF Digitalausgang, 3,5mm Klinken Line Eingang und einem eben solchen Kopfhörerausgang.
Mit diesem dieser Vorstufe hat der Bassist immer sein erstklassiges, persönliches Soundgestaltungsteil dabei. Ob zum Proben zu Hause, für die Studioarbeit oder auch auf der ganz grossen Bühne. Auf der Bühne wird vom Bassisten entweder ein erstklassiger Aktivmonitor oder ein halboffenes In-Ear Monitoring benötigt und der identische Sound geht parallel über das Mischpult in die Frontanlage, ob nun bei einem Clubkonzert oder einem grossen Open Air. Ein exzellentes Teil!
