A couple of MPD operatives read through the Duty Maintenance manuals for the loco they are working on.
My tiny little helpers from little world gave me once more a helping hand. They did the presets for my last manual focus shooting. :)

Die kleinen Helferlein aus little world haben mir ein weiteres Male geholfen. Diesesmal stellten Sie für mich die Blende an einer MF Linse ein. :)

Another attempt with this old manual lens. There are some C/A tracks on contours, but the total result is good. (Small white points are by light rain drops, not lens fault)
Talat Noi is a working class neighbourhood in Bangkok that houses a range of workshops which deal with used car parts. Here's another worker meticulously cleaning these parts.
It looks best full-screen so please press "L" and check it

Watch the Video of that afternoon on Flickr
Hail Core was on top of me on that first storm to the north of the City... I deiced to bail & go pick up my daughter, as she had called & said I want to go...I scooped her up & proceeded south of the city about 20 miles between Minden & Axtell Nebraska!
The 2nd supcell of the day was coming at us from Dawson County. @ That time that would be direcly to our west northwest. This storm was a fast mover. The first storm of the afternoon was only moving at 14 mph... So we didn't have much time to take snaps.
Though I did take a lot of snaps ...but I made a rookie play & didn't reset this focus from manual. I can be a knucklehead sometimes with I'm in the thick of things....
These were the final images of that afternoon. The ones in focus... We arrived just minutes ahead of its approach. Just in time to get these phenomenal captures right underneath the base of this monster!!!

To be honest, I prefer the Auto setting on my camera. I have taken photo after photo for this challenge and just cannot create what I see in my mind's eye. This is one of the better results using manual.

Those of you who have seen my macros have already observed that I like the 'dreamy' look. That is, feature a little segment of the subject and the rest is just 'color', more or less.

I photographed this scene early in the morning before their was direct sunlight on the flower.
Lit with a Yongnuo manual flash in an 8.6 inch soft box on a light stand to the right of the flower. The flash and my tripod mounted camera were triggered with a Yongnuo RF-6 03N.
Other plants, flowers, fruit or thingys that I've photographed using strobes can be seen in my Strobe Lit Plant set. For each image in the set, and there are over 1800 of them, I describe how I set up the lighting for that particular shot. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157628079460544/
