The theme for Macro Mondays is yellow this week. While walking past the big lakers docked in our harbour right now, I came across the massive ropes used to tie them down. This is a section of yellow rope nestled between two worn grey ones. It reminded me so much of a cob of corn! Happy Macro Manday!

Howdy i limping on his right forelimb, and has be doing that for 2 months, so manday we are going to the chiropractor/wet again, I dont like when so young dogs are limping on the same limb.

Over the past 15 years, I've probably met more Golden Retrievers than any other dog breeds. For a fact, they have become the most popular pups - hence, the most expensive - in the Bay Area during that time.

The Golden Retriever is a Scottish breed of retriever dog of medium size. It is characterised by a gentle and affectionate nature and a striking golden coat. It is commonly kept as a pet and is among the most frequently registered breeds in several Western countries. It is a frequent competitor in dog shows and obedience trials; it has become the favorite to be trained for use as a guide dog and/or all-round service dog.

That said, anyone who wants a dog has got to realize that they don't come pretrained. It takes time, and the earlier you start the better. Mandy was said to have been fully trained at three months. She has such a pleasant disposition that I can believe that. (Just remember that to be a service dog, even Goldens can take a year to be trained.)

There is only one negative with a dog like Mandy. They shed enough to knit a new dog every month. If you're smart, you'll comb a Manday twice a day, and vacuum once (the dog and the house timing permitting).

Just look at that face! Mandy was two when I met her. The face says it all. Playful, eager to please, smart, wanting and needing exercise. Please do get a Golden and leave it home alone all day. In fact, don't do that with any dog. Even I'd bite you if that's what you're going to do with a lifelong companion who only lives to be 10-12 years. Make every year count.
