Every photographer has mandatorily to take at least a pic of a man walking under the rain in his lifetime. This is mine.
Monday afternoon I went to Logan, Utah to pick up my load coming off my weekend home. They took about 4 hours to load my trailer, usually it shouldn't take more than an hour, two at the most, anyway the delay worked out nicely as far as getting this sunset shot. This shot was taken from the mandatory truck brake check area above Brigham City. Guess they don't want runaway trucks blowing through the intersection at the bottom of the hill. Anyway, I believe the water is some of Willards Bay and some wet lands, all of it part of the Great Salt Lake.

The Royal Grand Palace is a complex of buildings at the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. The palace has been the official residence of the Kings of Siam and later Thailand since 1782. It consists of not only royal and throne halls, but also a number of government offices as well as the renowned Temple of the Emerald Buddha. It covers an area of 218,000 square metres and is surrounded by four walls, 1900 metres in length. After King Rama I ascended to the throne in 1782, the palace was built. Fortunately, after the covid period, it is not yet busy with tourists. Thailand has just ended their quarantine policy. Face masks are no longer mandatory. Great to visit the Grand Palace one more time now. The Phra Ubosot, or ordination hall, occupies almost the entire southern part of the temple complex. The Ubosot is decorated with painted porcelain of flowers and birds on a light blue background. The temple is surrounded by a low wall; this separation emphasizes the sacred character of the building. The wall contains eight small pavilions with high spires, each with a double bai sema stone covered in gold leaf. In Thai religious architecture, such stones traditionally denote a sacred boundary within which the ordination of monks could be performed.
Impressive 200 years of royal history and architecture at the Grand Palace in Bangkok with more than 100 buildings. The Royal Grand Palace has been the official residence of the kings of Siam. It is the city's biggest tourist attraction and a pilgrimage destination for devout Buddhists. Construction of the Ubosot began during the reign of Rama I in 1783; as such, the building is one of the oldest structures in the temple. The Ubosot was built to house the Buddha statue known as the Emerald Buddha, which the king captured in 1779 from Vientiane, Laos. The hall is surrounded by columns that support a massive roof. The roof is covered with blue, yellow and orange glazed tiles. The outer walls are covered with traditional Thai decorations of gold leaf and colored glass. The next level is a lotus-design pedestal in colored glass. The next level above is decorated with the Garuda. One hundred and twelve Garudas, each grasping two Naga serpents in their claws, surround all four sides of the Ubosot. They are gilded with gold leaf and inlaid with glass mosaic. The vahana or vehicle of the god is the mythical Garuda. A creature of great strength and loyalty, the Garuda has been adopted as the national emblem of Thailand.

Another year, another Bake Off, but Stormtrooper Bruce never gives up! In spite of never winning First Prize, in spite of some of the most atrocious prizes imaginable STB keeps entering because resistance is futile!
TK-1110: No offense, bro, but that is not the cake you had us taste test last week!
TK-432: Helloo, he does this every time. Bakes hundreds of cakes, makes us sample them until our tastebuds go numb, hours on end... and then in the end comes up with something completely different to enter!
STB: You do tend to exaggerate don't you. But I'll have you know, this is the cake you sampled last week. I just added extra layers and different decorations, that's all.
Chewie: Geois soipwsjme, hiesa doi grrtds!
Fett: Now Chewie, we do this every year. You know the only way you can get inside is wearing your ghost costume! And no talking allowed, otherwise you'll give yourself away!
STB: Uh oh, I think I hear the P's nephew inside, squealing about something! I bet he's behind all the Haunted Alley's decorations again this year.
TK-1110: I can remember when this used to actually be scary, now it's just kinda...
TK-432: Dude, are you kidding! There's that creepy little Jawa at the entrance. And did you read what's doing the photo booth?!? No way am I getting my picture taken with that thing!
STB: OK, settle down everyone, I think they're about to let us in. Remember, since attendance is mandatory, we schmooze around, and then as soon as the Bake Off is over, it's back to my quarters for Movie Night!

This vibrant blue glacier-fed lake, located about 40 km (25 mi) north of Lake Louise in Banff National Park, is a popular stop for visitors travelling along the famed Icefields Parkway. Throughout the summer months, glacier rock flour flows into the lake, which gives the water its breathtaking colour.
Remember if you are going to visit this year, they are going to repave and upgrade the Peyto Lake parking area. Badly needed. In other words, no direct access this year and with the Covid-19 crisis I am not expecting too many tourists anyway.
Wondering myself if they let you hike up to it. Answer from ParksCanada website: "The next opportunity for visitors to see Peyto Lake will be in late 2020.
It is important to note that entering this closed area is dangerous and prohibited under the Canada National Parks Act. Violations may result in a mandatory court appearance and maximum fine of $25,000 CDN."
